Happy Friday everyone
Did you have a nice week? It is starting to get a bit cool. Many students have told me they like Fall the best. Well, looks like it's here. What is your favorite thing about fall? I like the food, colors and low electricity bill. Lately, Starry staff and helpers are getting ready for our Halloween Party / Taihaku festival. Wow....so much fun stuff we have planned. I hope to see you all come !

今月の2年生のレッスンではFive senses(五感)の実験をしています
1週目はTouching
2週目はSmelling
3週目はTasting
4週目はHearing
4週しかないので、Seeingの実験はしませんでした
今週は“Hearing"なので、24種類の音を聞いて何の音か当てるゲームをしています
それぞれの音を聞いてカードを選び…

Hey everyone, maybe you have seen and spoken to our new staff member, Emi Sensei.
She is a great new edition to our Starry Family. She is great at arts and crafts, good with the computer work we need and she LOVES KIDS too. Please take time to get to know her and chat with her.
Some of you may know that she worked at Starry long ago and comes to our Starry Summer Camps.
If you ask her what her favorite food is and come tell me the answer, Travis sensei ( I ) will give you a shiny sticker.

Today is Friday....Yahooo !
How do you like the change in weather? I wish summer was 6 months long. Summer time has lots of fun things to do. Fall is nice but I like summer better. When I lived in Thailand and Lao for 4 years, there was no fall or spring. It was always very hot or just a little hot.....sometimes cool. We had monsoon season but it was still hot and humid. I loved it ! I did not have hot water in my apartment in Lao and it was sometimes difficult for morning shower time. It never got cold but the water was cold in the morning sometimes....brrr.
On a different subject.... I am so proud of our students lately. Your level of understanding, speaking and reading is progressing by leaps and bounds. It brings a happy tear to my eye sometimes. From toddler to High School, everyone is improving. Good job !
