European Vacation

Tomorrow I'm leaving to go on my European trip. I'm going to four countries. Belgium, Holland, France, and Germany. So I'll be able to eat lots of baguettes, choclate, and spatzle. I'll actually be able to use the French that I know. It should be pretty fun. See you in two weeks!

もうすぐでキャンプです

STARRYでは準備も整いつつあります
みんなは準備終わったかな


最近Emiは、一週間くらい前から
ほぼ毎日のようにキャンプの夢を見てます（笑）

「きゃーーー、あれ机においてきちゃった！」とか
「暑くて死んじゃうーーー」って歩いてる子供の姿とか

いろいろ見てます


今年は暑くなるみたいだから、たくさん飲み物を持ってきてね

あと５日！

あと5日でキャンプ！

例年なら、梅雨が明けるかどうか？
という時季なので、
週間天気予報を毎日朝晩チェックしてるのだが、
今年は違う。
今年は、週間天気予報の下に書いてある
予想気温をつぶさにチェックしている。

伝説に残るサマーキャンプの暑さになることは
必至だろう・・・・。

さっ！今から体調を万全にして、
みんなでキャンプを楽しもう！

日本の夏

昨晩、帰宅したら『となりのトトロ』が
テレビで放送されていた。

今まで何度見たことだろう・・・・。

子どもと一緒に、何度も何度も・・・・。

とは言え、子どもも大きくなり
暫くご無沙汰していたので、
久しぶりである。

昨日は、気がついたら
子どもとではなく、
両親と『となりのトトロ』を見ていた。

老若男女を問わず
トトロは人々を引き付ける。

それと、もう１つこの映画の魅力が
舞台となっている、日本の田舎の原風景だろう。

きっと誰もが持っている
心のふるさとが、あの映画の魅力だと思う。

In The Park

This week in Kinder class we all went to the park and played "Oni Alphabet Squares". We had four squares that had a letter inside, the "oni" had to stand in the center and call out a letter. The others had to run to the right square, but if the oni caught them then they had to be the oni. I was really fun! I ended up being the oni a lot though.

Gold Fish!

みんなにもお馴染みのSTARRY Gold Fishたち

大きいのもいるけど、ちびちゃんたちもたくさん

もらった当初はみんな真っ白でしたが、最近ちょっとずつ体がオレンジ色になってきました
成長すると大きくなるにつれて、色も付いていくんですね

生まれたときからオレンジ色だと思っていたのでビックリしました

また小さな知識が増えましたヤッター

Wrinkly Wednesday

It was so hot this past weekend.

I went up Yamadera in that heat.

I was sweating like crazy, but it was beautiful.

Now my legs are really sore, but I have some good memories.

How was everyone's 3 day weekend?

縁の下の力持ち

昨晩、キャンプの名札をJrクラスの子ども達に
手伝ってもらって作った。

スタッフを含め、７０名近くの名札を2時間余り
で仕上げた。

例年なら、私達が夜な夜な作っていたのだが、
今年は子ども達が作ってくれた。

「こんなに何回も○に切るんだ～。」
「大きな丸い穴あけパンチがあればいいのに。」
「来年も使えるように、回収すればいいじゃん。」

縁の下の力持ち達に　
感謝！感謝！

たのもしい限りである。

Camping in Marumori

Last weekend I went camping in Marumori with my friends. We did BBQ and had a campfire at night. It was really fun. You could really see the stars at night. I could even see the milky way very faintly. The only bad part was we all got lots of bug bites. It was so itchy!!!

Hey everyone!

We got 3 weeks until summer camp!! (Aug. 1st - 2nd)

We still have some space left, so we are accepting new campers until this Saturday.
