This Fermat’s Last Theorem

360年間証明されなかったことから

-as the reason which has not been proved for 360 years

定理ではなく

-so, it was not a theorem

フェルマー予想として呼ばれていた

-it was called Fermat’s Conjecture

予想とは

A conjecture is

真実だと思われるが

-although it assumed as to be a truth

はっきりと分からない

-do not know for sure

まだ証明できていないことを指すようだ

-or seemingly pointing something that has not been proved yet

だがその予想とされた数学的真実は

However, the mathematical truth as known as a conjecture is

完全に証明され

It is completely proven and became to be called such as

ワイルズの定理あるいは

Weil’s Theorem or

フェルマー・ワイルズ定理に呼ばれるようになったようだ

 -they are similar with above both extreme hypothesis

 つまり

悟りの境地は

The eminence of enlighten is

 証明されるまでは

until it is proved

 予想にすぎないということだ

it is merely a conjecture

 aⁿ + bⁿ = cⁿ

左辺と右辺が一致するとの真実

The truth of coincide left factor and right factor  

aを修行過程、ｂを至るどころ

ｃを悟りに代入すると

Substituting two factors

A training course as a, a reached point as b

An enlighten point as c

修行過程＋至るところ＝悟りとの

予想（仮説）に置き換えられる

They can be replaced such as

Training process + Reached point = Enlighten

それらのある予想が

定理に成り得るためには

To become a theorem for such yet a conjecture

証明が必要なだけだ

It just needs a prove

だが、それらが証明できたら

But if they are proven

どうなるだろうか

What will happen?

フェルマーの予想が

フェルマーの最終定理になっても

even it became Fermat’s Theorem

普通の凡人の私の人生に

For me, as an ordinary mediocrity in my life

なんの関りが無い

There is nothing related with me

誰かが悟りの境地に到達しても

Even if someone reached to the enlighten point

普通の凡人の私には

To me who is an ordinary mediocrity

何の影響力が無い

There is nothing influence to me

それが現代社会を生きる現実でもある

That is the reality live in modern society

しかし、数学の定理と

But with a mathematical theorem  

坐禅の目指す到達点が

And a point which aims to reach in Zazen

不思議に繋がっている-この事実は

The fact- they are connected mysteriously

人間の思考を超える

It beyond human thinking

自然の驚異の一つでもあり

It is also one of awe in nature

禅の定理に繋がるだろう

It will lead to Zen-Theorem
