Flying in the sky (Grade 5)

 Students from class C.

 

We will make structures from papier-mâché.

First we need to build the frame.

 We first made the shape of a sphere. 

 It was similar to what the students did in Grade 1 for ‘The mysterious egg’.

Lots of people remembered doing it from this.

We also used skills which we used during the 2^nd semester of Grade 5 when the students made 3D models from circles.

 Joining the pieces using a stapler was one of the skills which was useful again here.

Using what we had learned in Grade 2 things went very smoothly.

Thinking about the theme when designing was quite difficult. We came up with some different ideas as we made the frames.

B組の様子です。

 

行事の関係で１時間の授業でした。

短い時間を少しでも有効に使おうと頑張っていました！

お花紙でできる表現は様々です。

試しながら分かることも多いのです。

同じ色でも重なった部分に線ができ、形を表すこともできます。

 

よって使うことで飾りを表現できます。

 

色を楽しみながら、素材の可能性を探っているようでした。

C組の様子と作品です。

 

次回の交流活動に向け、仕上げを頑張りました。

早くも完成した人も出てきました。

 

お花紙で着色をしています。全部で１９色あります。

ですが重ねることで色のバリエーションが拡がります。

また、薄く透ける紙ですので折ったり、よったりすることで色味が変化します。

それらを利用していろんな工夫をしていました。

 

折って色味を強くしていました。

 

重ねたり、ちぎったりして模様を表現していました。

また、よじってマフラーにしていました。

 

よって線のようにして使っている人もいました。

 

肌の色を表現するために重ねる色を工夫している人もいました。

白とオレンジを重ねたそうです。

 

こんなふうに様々な工夫がありました。さすが高学年！といった感じです。

 

「先生、『これは何でしょう？』とブログで紹介してください。」

とお願いがありました。さて皆様、これは何だと思いますか。

あ、少しだけヒントが見えています…

答えは完成してからのお楽しみにしましょう。

 

完成した人のところに人だかりができていました。

模様付が魅力的ですね！

すてきなバック（1年生）その10

A組の様子と作品です。

 

ファッションショーに向けて最後の仕上げを頑張っていました。

いろんな要素を組み合わせた工夫なども登場しました。

なんとハート型のポケットです！

 

そんな工夫したバックをアピールするファッションショーです！

ウォーキングやアピールの仕方などをとても工夫していました。

最後は自分たちに拍手で大盛り上がりでした！！！

 

ショーの後は交流活動です。

形や色、模様などに注目して、他の人のバックを見ます。

題材名の通り、すてきなバックがたくさんできあがりました！

Patterns with rings (Grade 1)

Students from class A.

 

 In Grade 3 we used rubber bands and looked for shapes and patterns.

 For Grade 1 we did a similar activity, but using patterns with rings.

The idea is the same, but with metal rings they can open.

 It changes the width of the shape.

 

We had the chance to share and exchange ideas as we were working in groups.

Some people connected the rings together to make new shapes.

 

 Doing creative activities are a lot of fun.

 

 Looking for different shapes and forms is a very important part of art class.
