Ｙ先生が今にも動き出しそうな感じがします。それは目線の先や足の
位置がそう見せるのかもしれません。少しだけ開いた口元が目線の先
にいる誰か（先生の愛しい奥さん？）に何か話しかけているようです。
Ｍ．Ｙ．さんの作品
なんといっても表情がいいですね！何かうれしい記事を見つけたので
しょうか。顔の表情に合わせて新聞を持つ手も大きく動いている感じが
しますね。背景の明るい色遣いがさらに絵を楽しく明るくみせます。
Ｓ．Ｙ．さんの作品
低学年で人物を横側からとらえて描くのは難しいとされています。横
から描くことで新聞を持つ様子や座っている足の形を描きやすい、と考
えたのでしょう。背景の重なりなども意識してあるようです！すごい！

Students from class A.
Class A students continued on their prints for the Culture Day.
You need to think about the shapes and colours when making the image.
It’s not like using a paintbrush on white paper, you need to think how the print will appear. A bit like a puzzle.
Here you can see an image of Mary and Jesus shining out from the darkness.
After working hard there is some relief when the image comes out.
We needed to think about what shapes and colours to use to represent the strength and kindness of Mary and Jesus.

Students from class C.
We are putting the finishing touches onto our work for Culture Day.
You need to put the paint on carefully.
Concentrating, and using the advice of Ms. T we worked hard to put the paint in the right place.
We tried many different colours in our palette.
You could use the colours you liked.
The colours shine out from the black paper.
Some people are surprised at how it appears different to painting onto white.
You rub down onto the print.
You make full use of your fingers to push each part of the print.
The turning point! The moment of truth!!
One of the nice things about prints is how the image can seem to blur a little.

You can see the big newspaper opened very wide to read it.
I really like the form of the newspaper.
We can get an idea about feelings by looking at small details, like the facial expression, the eyes, and the tilt of the head.
It looks like he is really concentrating!

We can see lots of detail in the background behind Mr. Y.
If you look at the newspaper’s back page it looks like there is a sketch, all of this has been from the imagination of the artist.
It’s good to see people love to draw.

The way the nose has been drawn is unique and interesting.
There is a nice use of lines to show details, like in the shoes with lots of fine detail.
Ａ組の様子です。
３年生で行った『ワゴムリズム』は輪ゴムで見立ての活動をしました。
１年生では『リングリズム』と題し、リングで見立ての活動を行いました。
内容は全く同じですが、輪ゴムと違いリングはつなげたり開いたりでき
ます。
この要素が見立ての幅を広げることになります。
グループでの活動でしたのでお互いに意見や考えを交換しながら進め
ているところもありました。
できた形をつなげて新しい形をつくっている人もいました。
見立てる活動はとても楽しいようで意欲的に進んでいました。
いろんな形を発見し、見立てていく活動や要素は図画工作にとってとて
も大切なことの一つです。
