この題材は「見立て」を大事にする内容です。
「見立て」というのは、ある物を別の物であたかもそうであるように見せることです。
今回は、この「見立て」で料理された食べ物を作ろう、というのがテーマです。
それはお弁当であったり皿に盛られた料理であったりと見せ方は自由です。
今日はその中でも弁当箱の作りの練習をしました。
「先生！音符の弁当箱ができそうです！」
なるほど！器の部分以外に工夫をしたのですね！
いろんなアイデアを凝らした箱ができあがりました。

First we tried making things with paper.
We were working hard with certain rules.
1) Do not cut pieces of paper off.
2) You must be able to return to a single sheet of paper.
Cutting the paper and folding.
You must make your work by doing just these 2 things.
You need to try things, and think about things…
Finally, after taking time to think we could make our piece.
A new rule is introduced…
3) Use 2 pieces of coloured paper.
Think what to do from now.
We hadn’t tried with this style yet,
so at first had to think how it would look in our head.
You keep thinking…
“Oh, like clothes!” a voice says.
Coming up with new ideas.
We can put different cuts together…
Change the colour or type of cuts…
I’m impressed with the ideas of the children.
I look forward to seeing it finished.
