On a press material which S. Korean Foreign Ministry distributed in prior to holding a UNESCO World Heritage Committee last month, on Aug. 8 2024, the Hankyoreh in S. Korea reported that "a fact is confirmed to have introduced the remark by a representative of Japan on the exhibition of [gold mines on Sado Island] in the contents different from the fact."
