It reports on the 1st (* not 2nd) Nanjing incident on March 24.
The Chinese Kuomintang (* Nationalist Party) forces attacked the Japanese, American and British consulates in Nanjing and their residents, and committed "violence and looting."

On Sept. 28, the MoD Joint Staff Office released that the Japanese Maritime SDF destroyer JS Sazanami (DD-113) conducted an exercise in the South China Sea on that same day with four countries, including the U.S. and the Philippines.
The aim was to check China, which has been stepping up its military activities in East Asia.
According to source(s), JS Sazanami was the first JMSDF vessel to pass through the Taiwan Strait on Sept. 25.
Tokyo has not yet release the fact of the passage.

Other than the U.S. and the Philippines, Australian and New Zealand, whose naval vessels transited the Taiwan Strait with JS Sazanami, also participated in the exercise.
