「モグラとその母親」（A Mole and its Mother）（326）『イソップ寓話集』岩波文庫：法螺を吹く者は、些細なことでぼろを出す

モグラの子が、目が見えないのに、その母親に、「僕は目が見えるよ」と言った。　A child of a mole can't see anything, but he said, "I can see."
子どもの言うことが正しいかどうか確かめるため、母親が、香木のかけらを与え、「これは何だい？」とたずねた。
His mother gave him a piece of incense in order to check whether he could see or not, and asked him, "What is this?"
モグラの子が「小石だ」と答えた。A child of a mole answered, "It is a small stone."
母親が言った。「お前は目が見えない。その上、鼻もきかない。」と言った。His mother said, "You cannot see anything. Moreover, you cannot smell anything."
教訓：法螺を吹く者は、出来もしないのに出来ると申し出て、ほんの些細なことでぼろを出すことがある。Lesson: While the man who exaggerate his competence offers to do something though he cannot do it, he often makes it clear that he is incompetent.

《感想1》
法螺を吹かないと、仕事が回ってこないし、出世もできない。
法螺を吹くことで、自分を印象付けたり、売り込むことができる。
だからある程度の法螺は、宣伝または、セルフ・プリゼンテーションとして、必要だ。
《感想2》
だが法螺を吹いてばかりいて、結局、言ったことがしばしば出来なくて、信用されなくなると、彼は、「法螺吹き」、つまり「嘘つき」となる。

君はくだらない

夜、日が照る。At night, the sun shines.

論理的には、四角が丸い。Logically, a square is round.

公園が、ミカンを食べる。A park eats an orange.
リンゴが、君を食べる。An apple eats you.

君が、空から降る。You fall from the sky.
空が、青虫になる。The sky change into a blue caterpillar.

山が、海で泳ぐ。A mountain swims in the sea.
海は、鉛筆だ。The sea is a pencil.
(9)
鷗が、さなぎになる。A seagull changes into a chrysalis.
君は、くだらない。You are foolish.
