The time of Japan, the time of the world

The following is from 'An ultimatum to anti-Japan' by a former South Korean army colonel.
It is a must-read not only for Koreans but for people all over the world.
In particular, those who make a living from and subscribe to the Asahi Shimbun, a foolish newspaper found nowhere else in the developed world, which not only takes pleasure in disgracing its own country to the world but will do any fabrication to do so.
It is primarily the so-called scholars who have been telling us to learn from Germany.
Those who make a living from the South German newspaper have been writing anti-Japanese articles using this newspaper's anti-Japanese articles.
It is the people who subscribe to this newspaper.
And make a living from the T.V. station that airs the story of the Nanking Massacre fabricated by John Rabe as an annual event at the end of every year.
As a result, about half of the German people have an anti-Japanese ideology.
It is a must-read for those in the U.S. who call themselves scholars, such as Alexis Dudden, a Korean agent.

From the writings of Mrs. Horace Grant Underwood
Lillias Horton Underwood (1851-1921) was the wife of Horace Grant Underwood, the British-born founder of Yonsei University in Korea.

When I first arrived in Seoul, I saw cozy earthen houses that looked like giant mushroom colonies.
These houses were divided into one room and one cooking area.
The low mountains were bald without a single tree growing on them.
When the Koreans go to a banquet, they eat an incredible amount of food.
They would leave their stomachs empty for the feast.
On the other hand, the Japanese serve their guests with a few palm-sized bowls and chic plates, but very little food.
It may be the reason why the Koreans are getting poorer, and the Japanese are getting richer.
The Koreans often believe in superstition.
There is not a single well in Pyongyang.
Because of the superstition, if you dig a well, you will get stuck in it and sink.
They all drank water from the Daedonggang River.
They drank the water even when countless dead bodies from the Russo-Japanese War were floating in the river.
When he had a small boil and wanted to remove it with a simple surgical operation, everyone objected, saying that it was against Confucian teachings to let a scalpel or scissors touch the body.
The king was equally opposed.
The women of Joseon were not generally beautiful.
Their eyes lost their luster; their faces became gaunt and scarred from sorrow, despair, hard work, sickness, lack of love, ignorance, and modesty.
Women over the age of twenty-five had a marked tendency to do so.
The same goes for the court ladies.
I was also surprised to see that they all smoked.

From the writings of Hesse-Wartegg
Ernst von Hesse-Wartegg (1888-1918) was a German traveler.

The people are suffering in poverty, while the officials indulge in debauchery with the wealth exploited from the people.
The people of Korea are poor, ignorant, lazy, and superstitious, and these attributes are the unfortunate result of a corrupt and greedy government.
For hundreds of years, the Joseon government has suppressed, rather than helped, the impulse to improve the world among the people.
The ruling class of the two groups in Joseon tried to maintain the slavery system in which they could use and buy and sell their inherited servants and maidservants as they wished within the feudal family order.
What Japan has but Chosun does not is a scholarly and cultural group with high loyalty, patriotism, and self-sacrifice.
