トヨタ　リコール３８０万台　４人死亡した衝突事故の原因はマット

事故寸前の車から警察に電話があり、ブレーキを踏んでも車が停まらない、目前に交差点が迫っている、このまま電話を切らないでと、事故寸前の車と警察の間での電話のやり取りをまざまざと伝えている。
トヨタはマットが原因でアクセルがもどらなかったことが原因である可能性があると調査を進めた。その結果米国の３８８万台のリコールをすることを決定、社長は謝罪した。最悪の業績状態にあるトヨタは、どん底状態からの再起を目指し、懸命な努力をしている最中であり、このリコールは多大な影響を及ぼすであろう。
