警官、来たる / Here comes the police!

先日、自宅に NPO法人の看板を設置したところ、早速、変化がありました。
二日後、警察官がやって来ました。 僕が住んでいる地域の駐在所勤務の方が、通常の確認の為の個別訪問でしたが、昨年お会いした時とは少し雰囲気が違い、笑顔が増えた気がしました。

The other day, I put up a sign for an NPO at my house, and immediately, something changed. Two days later, a police officer came. It was a normal one-on-one visit, but the atmosphere was a little different from when I met him last year, and I felt like there were more smiles.

次に、宅配便のドライバーの方の雰囲気も変わりました。以前よりも、積極的に話しかけてくれる様になりました。きっと、“看板” 効果の表われでしょう。
僕は、日常生活の中で、ほんの少しの事を変えるだけで、パラレルワールドに行けると信じているので、きっとそれが起きたのでしょう。次は何が起きるか、楽しみです。

Next, the demeanor of the delivery driver also changed. He started to talk to me more proactively than before. It must be the effect of the "sign."
