Regarding the governmental vision to evacuate approx. 120,000 residents of five municipalities in the Sakishima Islands in Okinawa Pref. to Yamaguchi- and each prefectures in Kyushu, while taking a contingency in Taiwan and so on in mind, on Sept. 25, Okinawa Prefecture and concerned municipalities confirmed the procedures for security inspections & evacuation guidance at New Ishigaki Airport in Ishigaki City.
It's concerned whether or not residents will be able to move quickly when they actually evacuate.

The scenario was a "situation of anticipated armed attack" in which an armed attack by another country is possible.
It verified the time to take for residents to board a plane from arriving at the airport, etc.
A little bit after 9 pm, about 160 persons, including Ishigaki city officials playing the role of residents while carrying luggages, got off buses stopped in front of the airport.
They lined up at a temporary security checkpoint and passed through one by one.
The governmental plan is to evacuate residents using private aircraft and ships in around six days.
