The memory of Father Enomiya 1

In the beginning of Syouwa period , Father Enomiya visited the temple of Harada Sogaku who was a priest of So-to sect ．
Harada was not satisfied with the method of So-to sect , and went to receive training of Rinzai sect , and there got zen experience .
And with the training way , there are many method of Rinzai ,
1, Kouan
2, Dokusan

Kouan is the examination to satori and Dokusan is individual asking to his master .
Father Enomiya respected Harada very much , he said ,
" The essence of India is Yoga .
The essence of Japan is Zen . "

What a beautiful misunderstanding it is !　　　　　　　　

　昭和の初期、愛宮神父は原田祖岳の門をたたく、原田は曹洞宗の僧侶、号は大雲。
　原田は曹洞宗の僧であったが、当時の曹洞宗に満足せず、臨済宗で修行する、そこで大悟徹底したらしい、だから、原田門下には臨済的なところがあり、
　１、公案
　２、独参
　　　　　　　　
　愛宮神父は、原田老師を大変に尊敬しており、それは、言葉の端端にあらわれていた、提唱の折、
　「インドの中心はヨーガで　ニッポンの中心には禅があります」

　少年のように純真な尊敬であった。
