皇太子殿下接見 See Crown Prince

昨日、JOCV諸君は全員皇太子殿下への接見のため６台のバスに分乗して東京へ向かいました
私はＫＴＣ玄関前でＪＯＣＡスタッフとともに彼らを見送りました
残ったのはたった１８人のシニアボランティアばかりで、とても静かな一日でした
昼食時には全員がすぐ近くのテーブルに座り、あたかもシニアの初会合のようでした
我々シニアは本日完全自習日で、何人かはホームクラスへ行って勉強していたようですが、私は自室で終日自習しました
おかげで今日までにしなければいけないことをすべて完了できました
午後９時ごろ、突然静寂が破られ若者たちが食堂前の廊下に姿を現しました
まもなく私の部屋のドアがノックされ、出てみるとそこには私といっしょにソロモンへ行く若者たちが６名全員で立っていました
彼らは私にお土産を買ってくれて、さらに全員でただいまの挨拶をしてくれました
そのとき私は彼らに対して心から親しみと連帯感のようなものを感じました
また彼らの顔には興奮が残り輝いて見えました　おそらく今日のできごとは彼らにとって生涯忘れられない経験でしょう

Yesterday, all JOCV went to Tokyo divided in six buses to see the crown prince.
I saw them off at the entrance of KTC with JOCA staff.
Only eighteen senior volunteers remained in KTC and it was very quiet.
At the lunchtime we sat together and it must have seemed like a first meeting of SVs.
We SV had to study by ourselves and somebody studied at the home class and I studied in my room all day.
I could finished all the things that I had to do by today.
About nine pm, the silence was suddenly broken and young people appeared at the corridor in front of the dining room and soon someone knocked on my door.
There were six JOCVs in front of my room who will go to Solomon Island with me.
They brought some souvenirs for me and I strongly felt sympathy with my fellows.
All of their faces looked brilliant and still excited. Probably they had a precious experience in their lives.
