文明のターンテーブルThe Turntable of Civilization

日本の時間、世界の時間。
The time of Japan, the time of the world

Asahi's great sin as the one who created deflation and Japan's lost 20 years

2023年08月10日 10時38分47秒 | 全般

It is the chapter I sent out on 11/3/2016.
I am re-submitting it.
It is a must-read not only for the people of Japan but for people around the world.

The following is from yesterday's Nikkei column Oiso Koiso.
How many of you read this editorial compared to the one that appeared in an ample space on the front page of yesterday's Asahi Shimbun?
I wonder how many of you compared this editorial with the one that was written in an ample space on the front page of yesterday's Asahi Shimbun, written by Masato Hara, the editorial director of the Economics Department, who is the ultimate hypocrite (including, of course, Asahi's great sin as the one who created deflation and Japan's lost 20 years) and who is indifferent to the fact that he has been causing significant damage to Japan and its people, rather than an irrelevant man in the Asahi Shimbun itself.
I compared Oiso Koiso with an article by Masato Hara, the chief editorial writer of the Economics Department, who is the ultimate hypocrite.
He wrote in a headline that the Bank of Japan's Governor Kuroda had announced that the achievement of 2% inflation would be extended for a while. At the same time, Hara triumphantly declared the Bank of Japan's virtual defeat.

The Asahi Shimbun, represented by this man's childish and vicious mind, continued to rule Japan until August 2014.
As a result, it has continued to allow the communist one-party dictatorship and, in reality, the totalitarian state to grow impudent and tyrannical.

The Asahi Shimbun and the so-called cultural figures who sympathize with them have joined with them to continue to attack, undermine, and oppress Japan,
As a result, the turntable of civilization has come to a halt, creating the extremely unstable and dangerous world we live in today (it is no exaggeration to say that we are evil spirits in the dark).

It is an editorial that has lodged in my brain as a distant consequence of my reunion with the people of my hometown after a long blank period.
"Who has kept Japan as a political prisoner in the international community seventy years after the war?"
It was a Nobel Prize-worthy discovery and the "turntable of civilization.

I have no doubt I have corrected Japan and the world perfectly.
If you read and compare the following article with the one by Hara Masato, all Japanese citizens and people worldwide will recognize the correctness of my paper.

Learning from "Shin Godzilla"
The movie "Shin Godzilla" is very interesting.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has yet to see the movie, but there are many things that the prime minister, who is fighting against deflation, can learn from the film.
First, the enemy is clearly identified.
The film's fun lies in the policy-making process of delay, doubt, and hesitation, and it is almost comical how the people involved hold a series of meetings while the situation changes abruptly.
Once it is determined that Gojira threatens the lives and property of the people, however, the measures taken are unwavering.
On the other hand, Japan today.
For 20 years, deflation has been left unchecked, saying that deflation is good and that the cause of deflation is demographics.
Under deflation, the unemployment rate rose, the number of suicides increased, and young people, who were supposed to be valuable, were not given jobs and salaries.
The scars of deflation are deep.
Belatedly, the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) is offering subsidies to companies that hire ice-age workers as full-time employees starting next fiscal year.
Japan's policymakers have been highly indifferent to the damage caused by deflation.
Second, in the movie, the government is united in its total effort to exterminate Godzilla.
The Self-Defense Forces will throw all of its firepower into the battle.
On the other hand, Japan's deflationary measures have lacked unity and consistency over the past two decades.
1997 the government raised the consumption tax rate, and in 2000, the BOJ raised interest rates.
Furthermore, the BOJ lifted quantitative easing in 2006, when deflation was not yet over.
Just when we thought Abenomics had made monetary and fiscal policy expansionary simultaneously, the consumption tax hike in April 2014 is about to derail Japan's economic revival again.
Third, scientific analysis is essential for suitable measures.
The government's Giant Unidentified Organism Special Disaster Response Headquarters, which plays a leading role in the film, is an organization that brings together "Kasumigaseki outcasts, lone wolves, eccentrics, nerds, troublemakers, snobs, troublemakers, and heretics in the academic world." Still, they share a respect for logic and fact-based analysis.
They would despise the attitude of "evaluating monetary policy but not talking about the benefits of lower unemployment," "pointing out sluggish consumption but not even mentioning a consumption tax hike," and "encouraging deregulation in other industries but holding back on regulation of their own.
The initial success in the fight against deflation was due to successful macroeconomic policies.
The recent stagnation lies in the consumption tax hike.
I recommend Prime Minister Abe to watch the film.
