アイズナー賞2018

今年も開催されたアメリカ最大のコミックコンベンション、
サンディエゴコミックコンベンション（SDCC）。
そしてそこで発表されるのが、アメリカのコミック業界で優れた作品やクリエイターに与えられる
アイズナー賞（Eisner Award）でございます。

今年はノミネート作発表時の更新をしてなかったので、ノミネート作と受賞作をセットで。

Joye Murchison Kelly（存命）と Dorothy Roubicek Woolfolk（故人）に。
今年はどちらもワンダーウーマン関係者の受賞となりました。

The Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award
人道的な活動に与えられる賞。

Frederick Joseph（ハーレムの子ども達を「ブラックパンサー」に招待）と
Comics4Kids（子ども達のためのコミック図書館）に。

The Will Eisner Hall of Fame コミックの殿堂。
Carol Kalish (1955–1991)、Jackie Ormes (1911–1985)、Charles Addams (1912–1988)
Karen Berger、Dave Gibbons、高橋留美子の6人が殿堂入り。

今年は「サーガ」の代わりなのか、「モンストレス」が堂々の5部門受賞。
グラフィックノベル「My Favorite Thing Is Monsters」の3部門がそれに続いています。
そして今年は「モンストレス」のタケダサナ、アジア翻訳部門の「弟の夫」 （アジア翻訳部門はすべて日本漫画ではありますが）
「AKIRA」35周年記念版の2部門受賞、受賞は逃したものの谷口ジロー2部門ノミネートに
田辺剛「ラブクラフト傑作集」のコミカライズ部門でのノミネート、
高橋留美子がコミック殿堂入りと、日本人作家が目立つ結果となりました。

・・・日本でもアイズナー賞の知名度がもっと上がるといいのになぁ。
（受賞作の翻訳も進んで欲しい・・・昨年のノンフィクション部門受賞作「マーチ」は邦訳出ましたね）
