Hello everyone !
Hope you had a nice Golden Week. Here at Starry, all the staff had a nice vacation time.
I went to the children’s orphanage 孤児院 in Furukawa for 7 days to volunteer. I went last New Year’s vacation too.
This time was great because the weather was nice and I was able to clean out all the years of stored junk in the garage, do some planting for the porch area and gardening. In the house I was able to clean out a storage closet, fix a broken vacuum cleaner and repair many broken things. The staff at the orphanage are so kind and loving but don’t have extra time for other things so I’m glad I was able to help. One of the children who lives there helped me gardening and breaking up big pieces of junk and put it into trash bags. I cut my arm gardening and she ran in the house and got me some disinfectant and band aids. She is so sweet sometimes, I was thankful for her help so I took her shopping and bought her some head phones for her game and music player.
Children are our future so I believe we need to love them and help them any way we can, especially orphans. Im very humbled to have the opportunity to help…. Thank you Japan !
