It's no surprise, as his views, such as "accepting a female-lineage emperor" and "promoting separate surnames for married couples," fit perfectly with the Asahi's positions.
He is a politician who hitherto hopped on Asahi's bandwagon and continuously shot his allies from the "back."
If this male becomes LDP President, it will be a reproduction of the 2009 LH general election in which the LDP lost two-thirds of its seats.
