ｵﾘｼﾞﾅﾙは、1965年にｶﾞｰﾙ･ｸﾞﾙｰﾌﾟThe Toys（ｻﾞ･ﾄｲｽ）がｼﾝｸﾞﾙをﾘﾘｰｽしています。Billboard Hot 100では最高2位。Cash Box(ｷｬｯｼｭﾎﾞｯｸｽ)やｶﾅﾀﾞのRPMでは を１位を記録しました。そして､翌年ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”A Lover's Concerto”に収録しました。Linzer&Randelが基にした元曲は、J.S.ﾊﾞｯﾊの『ｱﾝﾅ･ﾏｸﾞﾀﾞﾚｰﾅ･ﾊｯﾊの音楽帳』の中に含まれる『ﾒﾇｴｯﾄ ト長調 BWV Anh.II/114』です。3/4拍子で書かれている曲を､4/4拍子にｱﾚﾝｼﾞされています。ちなみに、元曲は長らくﾊﾞｯﾊ作曲と伝えられてきましたが、現在ではChristian Petzold（ ｸﾘｽﾃｨｱﾝ･ﾍﾟﾂｫｰﾙﾄ）の作品であることが通説となっています。

「Bury Me Benieth the Willow」は、死んで、しだれ柳の木の下に埋もれたいと願う絶望的な男性についての悲しい歌です。 男性が女性の心変わりを歌っており結婚式前日に新婦が姿をくらますといった内容です。性別は歌手によって異なり、歌手が女性の時は（彼女→彼、男→女）となり､それぞれの詩の多くの異なるﾊﾞﾘｴｰｼｮﾝと曲名があります。 1906年にﾐｽﾞｰﾘ大学の英国人教授がﾄﾗﾃﾞｨｼｮﾅﾙ・ﾌｫｰｸｿﾝｸを収集するｸﾗﾌﾞに参加したことによって見出されました。

Brandy WineはBrandy（ﾌﾞﾗﾝﾃﾞｨ）のことで、果実酒からつくった蒸留酒の総称です。元々､ﾉﾙｳｪｰ語で Brandeviin「焼いたﾜｲﾝ」の意）と呼ばれていたものが、ｵﾗﾝﾀﾞ語の Brandewijn（ﾌﾞﾗﾝﾃﾞｳﾞｧｲﾝ）となり、これが英語 で Brandy-Wine になり、いつしか wine が取れ Brandy（ﾌﾞﾗﾝﾃﾞｨ）となって広まりました。

1つ星3 - 4年熟成させたもの､2つ星5 - 6年熟成させたもの､3つ星7 - 10年熟成させたもの､（ｺﾆｬｯｸ･ｱﾙﾏﾆｬｯｸは、蒸留後､最低でも3年を経た原酒を使陽）､VOーvery old （とても古いﾌﾞﾗﾝﾃﾞｰ）11 - 15年熟成させたもの､VSOーvery superior old （とても優れた古いﾌﾞﾗﾝﾃﾞｰ）16 - 20年熟成させたもの､VSOPーvery superior old pale （とても優れた古い澄んだﾌﾞﾗﾝﾃﾞｰ）。20 - 30年熟成させたもの（ｺﾆｬｯｸ・ｱﾙﾏﾆｬｯｸの場合は、蒸留後最低でも5年を経た原酒を使用）､VVSOPーvery very superior old pale (とてもとても優れた古い澄んだﾌﾞﾗﾝﾃﾞｰ)30- 40年熟成させたもの、ﾅﾎﾟﾚｵﾝｸﾗｽ ーXOｸﾗｽ44 -45年熟成、ｴｸｽﾄﾗｸﾗｽ（XO）70年（ｴｸｽﾄﾗ）熟成させたものです。

「Brandy Wine Blues」は米国のﾐｭｰｼﾞｼｬﾝ､作曲家､ｿﾝｸﾞﾗｲﾀｰ､作家､詩人、写真家のMason Williams（ﾒｲｿﾝ･ｳｨﾘｱﾑｽﾞ）の作品で､禁酒しようとしても､また飲んでしまう、酒飲みの歌です。

196１年､Mike Settle And The Settlers（ﾏｲｸ･ｾﾄﾙ&ｾﾄﾗｰｽﾞ）はｼﾝｸﾞﾙをﾘﾘｰｽ､1963年､The Brothers Fourはｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Cross-Country Concert”に1965年､The Travelers 3はｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”New Sounds”に2003年､The River City Ramblers（ﾘﾊﾞｰｼﾃｨ･ﾗﾝﾌﾞﾗｰｽﾞ）はｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”On Time”に収録しています。

" Cool Water "は1936年にBob Nolan（ﾎﾞﾌﾞ・ﾉｰﾗﾝ）によって書かれた歌で､砂漠地帯の蜃気楼の中を､年老いた騾馬（らば）､「ﾀﾞﾝ」、と共に一人の男が水を求めてさまよい歩くというｽﾄｰﾘｰです。

 1941年にThe Sons of the Pioneersによって最初に録音され、同年にﾋｯﾄﾁｬｰﾄ25位を記録しました。ただし、ﾍﾞｽﾄｾﾗｰの録音ﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝは、 1948年に Vaughn Monroe & Sons Of The Pioneers（ｳﾞｫｰﾝ･ﾓﾝﾛｰ＆ｻﾝｽﾞ･ｵﾌﾞ・ﾊﾟｲｵﾆｱ）によって行われ1948年,Billboard･Hot100で9位で記録しました。Hank Williams（ﾊﾝｸ・ｳｨﾘｱﾑｽﾞ）は､1948年または1949年にﾗｼﾞｵ番組で歌を録音しました。Burl Ivesは1961年のｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Songs of the West”にOdetta （ｵﾃﾞｯﾀ）は1963年にｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”One Grain of Sand”にThe Rooftop Singersは､1963年にｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Walk Right In”にJoni Mitchell（ｼﾞｮﾆ・ﾐｯﾁｪﾙ）は1988年にｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Chalk Mark In A Rain Storm”に曲を収録しました。
