ｺﾒﾃﾞｨｰ動画（The Red Rock Wranglers）

「Three Wheels On My Wagon」は、Bob Hilliard  (ﾎﾞﾌﾞ･ﾋﾘｱｰﾄﾞ) の歌詞､Burt Bacharach（ﾊﾞｰﾄ･ﾊﾞｶﾗｯｸ）の作曲で､Bacharach､最初の著作の曲となりました。 

歌詞の内容は､ ﾁｪﾛｷｰ族が追跡している馬車に乗っている開拓者の家族が行った危険な旅を語っています。馬車は徐々に車輪を失っています。 ついに､ﾁｪﾛｷｰ族がﾜｺﾞﾝを捕獲することで終わりますが、最後の合唱では家族と一緒に「一緒に歌う」ように求められます。1961年､ 『雨に唄えば』『ﾒﾘｰ･ﾎﾟﾋﾟﾝｽﾞ』『ﾁｷ･ﾁｷ･ﾊﾞﾝ･ﾊﾞﾝ』などﾐｭｰｼﾞｼﾞｶﾙ映画でおなじみの英国の俳優､Dick Van Dyke（ﾃﾞｨｯｸ・ｳﾞｧﾝ・ﾀﾞｲｸ）の歌でｼﾝｸﾞﾙがﾘﾘｰｽされました｡翌年､The New Christy Minstrels（ﾆｭｰ･ｸﾘｽﾃｨ･ﾐﾝｽﾄﾚﾙｽﾞ）のﾋｯﾄ･ｼﾝｸﾞﾙとなﾘ､1965年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Sing And Play Cowboys And Indians”に収録されました。なお､ﾘｰﾄﾞ･ｼﾝｶﾞｰはBarry McGuire（ﾊﾞﾘｰ･ﾏｸｶﾞｲｱ）が務めています。

今年は「うし」としですね「うし」というと牛乳石鹸を思い出します。牛乳石鹸は1961年から1972年まで毎週、日曜日に18：30～19：00放映の「シャボン玉」ホリデイ」を１社単独で提供しました。しかし、スポンサー探しが難航、しぶしぶ引き受けたスポンサーに対し、日本テレビは見返りとして番組名を『シャボン玉ホリデー』にした経緯があります。番組は洋楽とコントを中心に構成されたバラエティーです。出演はザ・ピーナッツ、クレイジー・キャッツなどでエンディングにはザ・ピーナッツ。の「スターダスト」の歌が流れます。私の音楽志向に影響を与えたテレビ番組でした。
