「(They Long to Be) Close to You：（遙かなる影）」は、作曲、Burt Bacharach(ﾊﾞｰﾄ・ﾊﾞｶﾗｯｸ）と作詞、Hal David(ﾊﾙ・ﾃﾞｲｳﾞｨｯﾄﾞ）で、彼ら作品の最高の解釈者でもあり当時急成長を遂げていたｼﾝｶﾞｰDionne Warwick(ﾃﾞｨｵﾝﾇ・ﾜｰｳｨｯｸのために、ﾃﾝﾎﾟが早めのｳﾞｧｰｼﾞｮﾝを制作しました。1960年代、「ﾍﾞﾝｹｰｼｰ」とともに人気のあったTVｼﾘｰｽﾞ「ﾄﾞｸﾀｰ･ｷﾙﾃﾞｱ」 (1961～66)で主演のRichard Chamberlain(ﾘﾁｬｰﾄﾞ･ﾁｪﾝﾊﾞﾚﾝ）によって1963年に初めてﾚｺｰﾃﾞｨﾝｸﾞされました。1964年にはDionne Warwicがｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Make Way for Dionne Warwick”に収録しました。
