#DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES

今日からBS２で「デスパレートな妻たち２」が始まった（再放送？）。
私がNZにいた昨年、当時のフラットメイトの台湾人、Kitty＆Summerたちが楽しみにしていたドラマのひとつである。ちょうど２人のバイト先も定休日の月曜日が「HOUSEWIVES」の日だった。
ちなみにこのドラマ、アメリカで大ヒットしたらしいけど、当時はニュージーランドのドラマだと思っていた（私だけ？）

テレビ観るのも、英語の勉強のうちだと、夕食後はよくテレビを見ていろんな話をした。「ニュージーランドアイドル」というオーディション番組でも、盛り上がっていたなあ。「アイドル」のイメージが違う、と話したものである。日本（台湾でも）では、容姿が一番大事。そもそもオーディションなんて容姿に自身がなければ受けられない。でも・・・ニュージーランドでの重要視された部分は、「タレント性（才能）」だった・・と結果を見て思う。
とにかく、彼女たちは日本のテレビ番組や歌手を良く知っていたし、韓国ドラマの話でも話に花が咲いた。ただ、私は６時頃授業が終わっていたので、夜は膨大な量の宿題に追われ、一緒にほのぼのできなかったことも多かった。（泣）

このドラマのCMを見たとき、「ああ懐かしいなあ」とフラットメイトを思い出した。２ヶ月弱の共同生活だったけど、とても楽しくて充実していた。
ほぼ毎晩一緒に夕食。毎週金曜か土曜には一週間分の食材を買いにスーパーマーケットを３件くらい徒歩ではしごする。重い荷物を持っての坂道を伴う移動は大変だったな、少し。そしてたまに、彼女たちのバイト先での外食。

彼女たちももう台湾に帰ってしまったけど、また会える日を、そしてそのときにはお互い上達した英語で話しができることを願っている＾＾

The title of drama,"DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES part2", starts broadcasting on TV.
I knew it this time last year in NZ .It was one of dramas which my former flatmates,Kitty&Summer, looked forward to seeing on Monday night and it was not their working day of part time job.
The drama was a great hit in America but I thought that was NZ drama at that time.(Have Kitty & Summer known it?)
We had thought that watching TV was good for our English so that we watched it with talking after dinner. 
"NewZealand Idol" was one of our interesting programes on TV.We discussed a image of IDOL was tottaly different from our each country.It means that the most important things was talent ,not appearance....we drew a conclusion.

Anyway, they had known about Japanese TV programes and singers very much ,besides we talked about Korean dramas.Just...my TOEIC school was over around 6pm every day,so I didn't have time with them very much because of many homeworks.

When I saw "HOUSEWIVES" in a TV commercial ,it reminded me of them.I enjoyed staying with them ,although we lived together for less than 2 monthes.
We had dinner together almost every day, we went shopping our food for a week to a few supermarkets  every Friday or Saturday.It was a bit hard to walk the way with heavy bags.(We needed to go up slope...near home) and then,sometimes went to vegetable restaurant which they worked.

Now, they are in Taiwan. I hope we will meet again and talk with better English each other^^

Mission Bay

オークランドのシティと呼ばれる中心部は人も車も多く、ビル街でごみごみしているが、少し車を走らせると美しい海や山に出会える。
ミッションベイは、波のない穏やかに続くビーチが広がる人気の場所で、休日には広場でそれぞれに遊ぶ家族連れやカップル、友達がたくさん集まる。
長く続くビーチの他に、ここミッションベイにはもうひとつ有名なものが。それは「モーヴェンピック」のアイスクリーム屋さん。冷たい風が吹く冬場でも行列だ。ここのアイスクリームはミッションベイにしかないわけではないのだけど、ここが一番人気のように思う。
ホームステイメイトの韓国人Kimは、「ミッションベイは、ただ有名なアイスクリーム屋さんがあるだけだ」と言っていたけど、そんなこともない。
ちょっと値がはるけど、おいしいタイ料理屋さんやイタリアンのお店、何よりビーチは何度来ても気持ちがいい。
ある休日、どうしてもアイスクリームが食べたくなって、家からは遠かったけれどミッションベイまで買いに連れて行ってもらったことも・・・。風が強くて、アイスが溶けるのが早くて、大変だった・・・＾＾

There are so many people, cars and building DownTown in Auckland but you can find a beautiful beach(sea) or mountain after driving for a while.
Mission Bay is one of nice places in Auckland,there is a long beach gently and very popular for family,lovers and many people.On weekend, people enjoy to stay there.
Another famous spot there is ice cream shop named Movenpick.Even it is a chilly day,there is such a long queue.The shop is not only in Mission Bay but I think there is the most popular than any other Movenpick.
My homestaymate,Kim from Korean , said to me before ,"Mission Bay has no places except that ice cream shop!!" ...I don't think so.There are some nice restaurants (Thai ,Italian and so on) ,although they are bit expensive....above all,the beach makes me relaxed everytime I visit there.

On one weekend,I really wanted to eat ice cream and then I went there for it with Sam although thereis far from home.It was so windy day so that ice cream was easy to melt...

Cappuccino

最初に書くが、私はそんなにカプチーノが好きではない。

ニュージーランド生活も後半に入り、で初めて何気なくカプチーノを注文したときのこと。
なぜか出てきたのは紅茶。「？？？」と思いしばらく考えてわかった。私の発音する「カプチーノ」は「一杯の紅茶（Cup of Tea）だったようだ。

それから何度か意地になって、そう好きでもないカプチーノをたのんだが、いつも紅茶が出された。そんな連敗中のある日、仕事で空港に日本から到着する会員さんの迎えに行ったときのこと。到着する飛行機の遅れで時間があったので、一緒に行っていた同僚のTakashiさんとカフェで飲み物を注文することに。私は、失敗するのがいやで無難にカフェラテをたのんだ。それでも聞き返されて２度ほど言ったけど。（どうやら私の声は通りにくいらしい。日本語でもよく聞き返されるのだ。）私の後に、Takashiさんは普通にカプチーノを注文し、すんなり本物（！）が出てきた。何が違うのだ？？？
自分の失敗の恥を承知で、イギリス留学して英語の堪能な会社の先輩Tamakiさんに発音のポイントを聞いてみた。Tamakiさんは大笑いし、首をかしげ「うーん。あんまり意識したことないけどなあー。」と言いながら、発声してくれた。
とにかく悔しいのと情けないのとで、しばらくの間、数回に一回は注文し、ようやく真のカプチーノが出てきたとき、小躍りしたい気分だった。そして、一度成功したのち、私はカプチーノを封印した。怖かったのだ、また紅茶が出てくるのが。それに、コーヒー系が飲みたい気分のときに、紅茶が出てくる悲しさと言ったら・・・。
今度また行ったら、「カプチーノ」たのんでみようと思う。意を決して。（大げさだな・・）

First of all, I don't like cappuccino very much.

When in late of my life in NZ, I ordered cappuccino one day but I got English tea!!! I wondered why it happened. And then , I found that my pronunciation of cappuccino was a cup of tea.
After that , I ordered cappuccino stubbornly even I don't like it much.Everytime I did,I couldn't get it.
One day on my losing challenge about it, I went to Auckland Airport to meet customer from Japan on work.A airplane was late so that I had a rest with my coworker at cafe in the airport.I ordered caffe latte because I didn't want to miss it.Even caffe latte, I needed to say twice.(I think my voice tone was hard to hear.I need to repeat sometimes even Japanese speaking...)Takashi ordered cappuccino easily after me.Oh,dear...poor my pronunciation....(cry)
Later, I asked Tamaki,she has been to England to study before and her English is excellent!!, about pronunciation of cappuccino. She was thinking why with big laugh and said that she didn't think about it and pronunced it.
Anyway, I kept ordering it one out of three as I felt shame and deppressed.Finally, I got true cappuccino and jumped for joy.And then, I had never ordered it since I succeeded because I was afraid to get a cup of tea.Do you understand such a sad feeling that I get a cup of tea when I want to drink coffee ?

But...I will try it again when I go to NZ again.

from busy life to slow life

ニュージーランドに到着して初めての土曜日のこと。Noriと一緒にCityをぶらぶらする約束をした。待ち合わせは９時。８時半前にはバス停に行くも、待てども待てどもバスが来ない。その時は知らなかった。週末は、極端にバスのダイヤが減るということも、ニュージーランドのバスが正確さに欠ける（時間通りにまず来ない）ということも。これでは９時の待ち合わせに間に合わない！焦った私は、Noriに携帯のメッセージを打った。「バスが来ない～（泣）時間に遅れる！」
するとすぐに、「大丈夫～。時間はたっぷりあるんだから。気にしないで」との返事。さっきまでの焦りとイライラした気持ちが飛んでいってしまった。忙しかった日本を抜け出して、ニュージーランドにやってきた私たちのスローライフは始まったばかりだった。
２人で合流してからホームステイ話や、英語の上達法について、オークランドについて、いろいろ話をした。かかえている不安や、英語に対する意気込みは同じだった。
今もNoriはニュージーランドで前向きに元気いっぱいがんばっている。

I went around (Auckland)City with Nori on the first Saturday in NZ.The meeting time was 9am.I went to a bus stop about a half past 8 but No bus came for a long long time...I didn't know that the number of buses droped off or these did not come on time almost of the time.I thought that I would be late.I was upset and texted Nori about it by mobile."A bus has not come...I will not be there by 9."
And then,she replied me quickly."Don't worry.We have plenty of time!!" It made me relaxed,you know,the annoyed feeling had gone.
We just came NZ for escaping from busy life in Japan.A slow life was about to begin.
After we met,we talked about homestay, the way to improve English ,Auckland and so on each other.Her eagerness and what she worry about from now on were almost same as me.
Now, Nori is eager to do with forward-looking in New Zealand.

Auckland to Wellington

高知－東京の長距離バス乗車を前にして、Takashiさんが思い出させてくれた。そうあの長旅・・・。
私が住んでいたオークランドからウエリントンまでの距離約６４７ｋｍ、インターシティバスだと約１１時間。遠い。オークランドは北島北部、ウエリントンは北島の南端に位置する。どうしてこんな遠い場所に直接行こうと思ったのか。理由は単純だ。以前北島ぐるり旅行を友達としたが、ウエリントンだけそのコースから外したのだ。「あまり面白味のない場所」「ただのビルのある街」という話を聞くにつれ、私たちの意欲は弱まり、結局、ネイピアからパーマストンノース、そのまま北上した。でもやはり後悔した。そこでイースター・ホリデーの４連休にどこか旅行にでかけたいと思っていた私は、ギリギリまで悩んでウエリントン行きを決めた。当時の同僚は「えー。きっとほとんど開いてなくておもしろくないよ。」と口をそろえたけど。そして私は彼らに言った。「じゃあ行って確かめてきます！」
かくして、イースター２日前ほどにウエリントン旅行が決まった。だけどバスじゃなくて車で。６４７ｋｍを平均時速８０ｋｍで行くとして８時間。休憩を挟んでも９～１０時間。遅くても９時には出発したかったのに、お弁当をつくったりして結局１０時過ぎに出発となった。というのも、イースターのときはほとんどの店が休みになる、と聞いていたのでお昼ご飯を食べ損ねるのを危惧したのだ。
とにかく、ウエリントンは本当に遠かった。進んでも進んでも近づかない錯覚に陥ったほどだ。休憩を挟みつつ、たどり着いたのは９時。でも交代しながら運転したので、身体の方は割と平気だった。そして、宿で夜ご飯を作ろうと思ったら、なんともお粗末なキッチン！料理なんてできる状態ではなく、仕方なく繁華街に出たのだけど、思ったより、どこのお店もにぎわっている。なんだか少し拍子抜けしながら、フードコートで夕食をとり、移動だけの旅行初日を終えたのだった。
My friend ,Takashi, reminds me of a trip from Auckland to Wellington before I go to Tokyo.
The distance between Auckland I lived and Wellington is about 647km,it takes around 11 hours by Inter City bus.Does it sound far? yes,it does.The location of Auckland is a part of North in North Island and Wellington's is edge of South in North Island.Why did I decide to go there directly such a far place? It is simple.I have traveled around North Island for 2weeks but we didn't go there and then I regreted it.By the way, the reason why we didn't go is that we heard that Wellington is not interesting or boring.Just building town.....Normaly I do believe only what I see and hear by myself.I should have seen how Wellington is terrible with my eyes and feeling when I traveled in North Island.It is my style.That's why I regreted.
And then, I was thinking of traveling somewhere with Sam on Easter Holiday,so that I decide to go to Wellington just 2 days before.Even the then coworkers said like this,"oh,really ? you will go to Wellington,won't you? There seems nothing interesting."(^^)So, I said to them,"Ok, I'm going there and report it!"
So, I decided to travel there by car.That departure day,I wanted to leave at least 9am because I calculated the required time is 9 to 10.As I prepared our lunch,we left home over 10am....I heard from many friends that most of shop would closed while Easter holiday and I was afraid of missing to eat lunch...haha(Actually I didn't need to worry about it because many shops were open and we ate our luncbox in McDnald..)
Anyway, Wellington was really far.We felt we wouldn't reach there even we went on...we faced on traffic jam and took a rest while driving,finally arrived around 9pm.I was not tired very much because we took turn in driving.And we went out for dinner downtown because the kitchen in the room in motel was too poor to cook though I was going to do it.
Most of restaurant,bar and so on looked crowded ,we were surprised and glad to find it.The first day only moving was over after we ate dinner.

Tax returned

帰国前に書いたIRDに関して（5月6日記載：Where is Seamart?!参照）、今日代理店の方からメールが来た。どうやら確定申告の書類が届いたらしい。ニュージーランドの国民性なのかどうか、全員にくるとは限らないこの確定申告の要請。しかも、送られてくるタイミングもまちまち。でも来たら必ず手続きしないと罰金などいろいろ問題があるとのこと。帰国前、タックスリターンはしなくていいと、IRDのクローズ処理のみを代理店にお願いした。もし確定申告きたら、お知らせします、とのことだったのだが、それが来たということだ。すっかり忘れていた。この代理店の方、オークランドで働いていたときの仕事を通じて知っていたのだけど、やや仕事が怪しいところがあり、私自身メールなんて来ないだろうと思っていたから、もうすっかり記憶から抹消されていたのだ。還付額は、その手続きの手数料を差し引いてもちょっとした臨時収入となりそうだ。書類に記入して送り返すだけでOKとのことで、返信がなければ権利放棄となるとのこと。どうするか？もちろん。送付します。

I got an e-mail from a agency about proceeding of tax.He lets me know to have got a document for final income tax return.It is not sent to all people who has some income, i wonder it is nationality in NZ.But if people gets it,they have to proceed it,otherwise they need to pay the penalty.Before I left NZ, I just asked the agency to close that IRD number.He said "If it comes, I will let you know."I have totally forgot it. I have known him through my job in NZ, I doubted his way of working,so I didn't think that he would send the e-mail.That's why I deleted that thing from my memory...The amount of the tax refund is not bad after I pay a commission.If I get that refund,what I need to do is just to post to him a document.If not,nothing to do.What should I do ? yes, I will.

Bay of Islands ( 3rd day )

そして、３日目はわりとゆっくりと起床して、９時からのクルージングに参加。ホール・イン・ザ・ロックという岩場の穴をくぐり抜けたり、イルカをみることのできるここの人気のツアーのひとつだ。７月といえば十分寒く、船上では冷たい風に震えていた私たちだったが、イルカと一緒に泳ぐオプションには多くの人が参加。しかし、水族館で調教されているわけではないので、やはりなかなか一緒に泳ぐのは難しく、見え隠れするイルカくんたちにやきもきしながら、船からは「ほら、あそこ、あそこ」などと声がかけられていた。泳ぐどころか、近づくのさえ大変そうだった。写真にうまく収めるのも難しい！写真家の人は、つくづくえらいと思った。
そして、楽しみだったホール・イン・ザ・ロック！しかし、その穴を目の前にして待機する私たちの船。別のもう少し小型の船が後からお先にとくぐっていく。見ていると、あの小さい船でもギリギリ通っている感がある。私たちの船は大丈夫？と思っていたら、近づいては戻り、という動きを繰り返した後、「今日は、波が高いから仕方なく断念！」というアナウンスが。。。私たちはがっかり。そして２人顔を見合わせ、「ホントはいつもそんなこと言ってるんじゃないのー？」と疑いを抱いた（笑）。お昼までのクルージングを十分楽しんで、後はもうバスに乗ってオークランドに帰るのみ。旅行の度に感じる帰る瞬間の寂しさを味わいながら、バスに乗り込んだ。

The 3rd day,we went on cruise which was one of popular tour in Bay of Islands.The ship goes through the hole in the rock and we can see dolphins.It was enough cold in July and we were both shaking with a chilly wind.but there were many people who joined to swim with dolphins.It seemed hard to swim with dolphins as those were not trained.People on the ship said to people in the sea "Oh~ ,dolphins are there!there!"Dolphins were up and down to the sea so quickly,it was difficult to take pictures of them.
And then,our ship arrived near the hole in the rock.Another smaller ship went through it before us.we went backward and forward again and again.Finally,a captain said,"wave was too high to go through there today,we cannot do that."We were so disappointed and doubted if this happend every time.(^^)Anyway,we enjoyed this tour and time we had to go home had come after that.I felt a bit lonely as same as I always had on the return way to home when in traveling.

Bay of Islands ( 2nd day part2 )

９０マイルビーチを後にすると、今度は２つ目のポイント、レインガ岬へ。この岬、ニュージーランドの最北端とされている（実際はもっと先の立ち入り禁止の場所が最北端らしいけど）。
バスが通れるのかな？と思うくらいの山道をどんどん登っていく。小雨がぱらついていた空もどんどん明るくなってきて、たどり着いたときには、晴れ間が広がり、虹も見えた。外では飲食禁止、というので持参したサンドイッチの昼食をバスの中でとってから、外に出て岬の方まで歩く。雨が降った後なので、ぬかるみ気をつけないとこけるな、と思っていたのに、見事に尻餅をついてしまった。お尻は泥まみれ。。。。思った通りになってしまうのは昔から。。。それからも何度も転びそうになりながらも、目の前に広がるキラキラ光る海、なんとも言えない素晴らしい景色に圧倒された。北の果て、とか端っことかいうのがとても好きな私は、「おお、ここが北の端なのね～」とそれだけでも感動。飛び込む真似をして写真をとったり、とにかくはしゃいでいた。岬にはシドニーやロスの方向を示す標識もあり、見えるはずもない大陸にむかって、そうかそうかあっちがアメリカか、などとうなずく。
こんな端っこにもポストを発見！毎日集配に来てるらしいが、ホント？と疑ってしまうほど大変な道のりの先にあるこの岬。一度、訪れてこの感動を味わってもらいたい。
さてさて、昨日のリベンジで私たちのちょっとリッチな今日の夕食は？というと、パスタ用のきのこクリームソースでつくったリゾット！！他のお客さんに比べたら貧相だったけど、大満足だった。

After 90 mile beach,we left for Cape Reinga.That's the top of North in NZ.(The another point is the top,actually but people cannot go there.)
The way was so narrow and I felt it was hard to pass the way by bus.The rainy sky was getting fine.It was bright and we could see the rainbow when we got there.People are forbidden to eat outside there, so we ate lunch in the bus.After that,we got it out and walked to Cape Reinga.The ground was wet because of rain and it looked easy to slip.I thought I had to be careful...Everytime I think that,it happens.so,,,i slipped on the ground...cry...
The view in front of me was so incredible, anyway. Originally, I really like edge, top and end.There are sign which shows direction of Sydney,Los Angeles and so on.We looked to America even though we couldn't see it.I recommend to visit there.
By the way,how was our dinner ? yes,that was much much better than last night.we cooked risotto with muchroom sauce.we were satisfied with it, although others' were better than ours.

Bay of Islands ( 2nd day part1)

２日は朝早くからレインガ岬、９０マイルビーチにいく現地ツアーに参加。朝７時くらいに泊っているバッパーまでバスが迎えにきてくれる。観光地にはバッパーが本当に多いが、こうしたツアーなどは各バッパーを回って拾っていってくれるからありがたい。朝が苦手な私は、ギリギリまでベットの中でごろごろ。そんな中、Kaoriは一足早く起床、キッチンで私たちのランチを作ってくれた。そうそう、このバッパー（確か、Pepper Tree）、私たちの部屋は４人部屋だったのだけど、閑散期（NZは冬だから）だからか、他にお客さんがいなくて２人で貸しきり状態。しかもバス・トイレも部屋に備わっているという好条件！でした。そして、バッパーの前にバスは予定通りやってきた。（NZでは遅れることが当たり前のように思ってたけど、さすが時間通り！）もう既にいろんなところを回ってきたらしくたくさんの人がすでに乗っていた。あ～、わくわくする。今日が一番のメインと言ってもいい。バスに乗って、向かうは北の果て。途中KeriKeriなどを通過、古代カウリ王国というカウリ木材加工のワークショップへ寄り、いよいよ９０マイルビーチへ！長い長い砂浜をバスが走る、走る！窓ガラスは砂埃であっという間にくすんでしまった。途中下車して砂浜に降り立ったときの感動は忘れられない。そして、サンドボードにトライ！バスの中の雰囲気がソワソワ、ワクワクし始め、みんな短パンに着替えたりとやる気満々の様子。私たちは特に準備もしてなかったので、ジーンズをまくりあげての参加だった。急斜面の砂丘をボディボードで一気に滑り降りる。すごいスリル、爽快感と少しの恐怖感・・・。ただひとつ、スタート地点まで上らないといけないのが大変。裸足で登るのだけど、砂は凍るように冷たいし、何しろ斜面なのでゼイゼイハアハア言いながらやっとの思いでたどり着いた。ひとり２回は滑れるのだけど、登ることのしんどさに私は１回でやめた。なにしろ登ってる途中でやめそうになったくらいだったのだ。しかし、元気なKaoriはもちろん２回とも楽しんでいた。 -----> On the second day, we went out to join a tour of 90 mile beach and Cape Reinga in the early morning.The tour bus came to pick us up in front of our backpacker.I am poor to get up early so was on the bed as long as I had time while Kaori was making our breakfast and lunch.By the way,only we could stayed in that room ,although it was a shared room for 4 people.And the room had own shower and toilet,so we were lucky and relaxed.This backpaker(I think the name is Pepper Tree)was so nice! The bus arrived there almost on time.As it had already gone around many hostel,there were many people in the bus.Oh--so excited ! We had been looking forward this.It was main event in this trip!! We left for the top of North by bus.On that way,we passed KeriKeri and stoped The Ancient Kauri Kingdom.And then ,we were in 90 mile beach!!The bus was running on the long long sand ,the window of bus was changed dirty by sand.I cannot forget what I felt so fantastic when I got the bus off and stood on the sand !!! And then, we tried to slide down with body board on the sand hill.What a wonderful thrill(a bit fear..) Just one thing,we had to climb the starting point.The way is so terrible (for me) because sand was so icy and the steep slope made me tired.I wanted to go back to bus on the middle of slope.(I didn't that.)They game us twice chance to do that but I did it only one time.Kaori was so cheeful and yes,of course she enjoyed twice.(^^;

Bay of Islands ( 1st day )

昨年の今頃、８週間通った語学学校を卒業し、Kaoriと２人でBay of Islandsへ２泊３日の旅行に行った。
Rotoruaから２度目の小旅行である。朝出発し、バスに乗って昼過ぎにはPaihiaへ到着。この日はフリーだったので、Waitangiまでぶらりと歩いていった。途中、何度も何度も写真を撮るために足を止めずにはいられないくらい、すばらしい景色が広がる。ワイタンギ条約が締結されたこの地では、条約記念館やマオリ集会所などがあり、ガイドブック片手に観光。旅行初日ということもあり、私たちはとてもはしゃいでいた。
そして夜は更け。。。。レストランを覗きつつ、インスタントヌードルを買ってバックパッカーで夕食を食べた。バッパーの共同キッチンでは、長期滞在しているらしき人々が、それはもうおいしそうなものを次々に作って食べていた。その食べ物を横目に、麺をすする私たち。「明日はもうちょっとリッチにする？」とコソッと話したのだった。

This time last year,I went to Bay of Islands for 3 days with Kaori after we graduated the language school which I attended for 8 weeks.This short trip was the second time from Rotorua trip. We left in the early morning and arrived Paihia around 1pm.We had free time on the first day so that we walked to Waitangi.On that way,we couldn't help stopping to take some pictures because of a wonderful view.There are Treaty House,Meeting House of Maori and so on,we sightsaw with our gidebook and were so excited why it was the first day of this trip.
And then,the night had come.....we looked in some restaurants but went back to backpacker(hostel) after buying instant noodle,bread and ham.(bread and ham were for breakfast of next morning and lunch)People who stayed that backpacker were cooking their dinner in the kitchen.Those looked so nice , we were watching them with envy and eating our noodle.What a pity we are!!! 'Shall we cook better thing tomorrow ?" we whispered....
