ワークショップ二日目 The Second Day of the Workshop

今日のワークショップは古いガス式電気式両用の冷蔵庫の修理実習です

私の班に割り当てられた器械は、電気式では動作しますが、ガスに切り替えるとガスが着火しません

ガスシリンダーから順に追っていくと、本体内部の配管でガスが止まっていることが判明しました

その部分を外してワイヤーでつついても開通しません

昼休みの間に病院の作業場へ持ち帰って、配管工に相談しましたところ快く協力してくれました

まずパイプの両端の90度に曲がっている箇所を溶接機で加熱してまっすぐにして、両端からワイヤーを通します

かなり手ごわい詰まりでしたが開通して、そのあとは特殊なパイプ洗浄用の洗剤で洗って、仕上げはエアコンプレッサーで水気を吹き飛ばします

そのあと元通りに曲がりをつけて完成です

さすがは配管の専門職人で、私の思いつかなかった手段で直してくれました

それを持ち帰って元通りに装着すると見事に復活しました

もちろん私が現場でこの修理をおこなうことはないと思いますが、専門業者がいない途上国では病院のメンテナンス部門では、このような作業もしなければなりません

 

　

 

Today’s workshop was the repairing practice for the old refrigerator of gas and electrical convertible.

The attached one for our group was working well as the electrical but using gas it didn’t fire the gas.

We checked following the gas flow from the gas cylinder and found one of the piping had blocked.

I removed this part and brought it to our service shop and consulted to a plumber.

He readily accepted my asking and cooperated with me.

The first we made the both side of the 90 degrees bend to be strait under heating of gas welder and penetrated through with the wire in it.

It was so tough and after then we washed using the special soap for the pipe washing.

Finally we blew off the vapor using the air compressor.

And we bent it to the original shape.

The excellent plumber did a good job much better than I expected.

I brought it back and assembled and it worked well.

Of course I will never do this repairing but maintenance staffs in the hospital have to do these works in developing countries.
