さまよう世界
ソ連が崩壊し、鉄のカーテンが壊された時、資本主義と民主主義の陣営が勝ち残り、問題は解消したように思われたものである。ソ連崩壊の１９９１年から数十年が過ぎ、今度はアメリカが崩壊するのではないか、或いは内戦が始まるのではないかという声が上がり始めている。
インターネットが普及してから、社会の進歩も変動も激しくなったようだ。インターネットにより、誰が主導するという事もなく、デモの呼びかけが各方面に伝播し、革命に発展した例としてジャスミン革命がある。
また、アメリカ大統領選で不正があったとして、トランプ大統領を支持するグループが、アメリカ議事堂を襲った事件でもインターネットが活用されている。
意志や思想が、瞬時に地球全土に伝わるという道具は、非常に便利なものであるが、使い方によっては、非常に危険な道具にもなる。
欧米は資本主義先進国であり、民主主義を堅持し世界に普及させたいのだろう。しかし、先のジャスミン革命もそうだが、民主主義に移行する途中には混乱というリスクがあるようだ。
素早く情報伝達が可能だという事は、良い事ばかりかというと決してそうではない。嘘も悪意も同様に早く伝達出来るということである。また、ネットワークの情報蓄積機能は、新旧の情報の混在を許し、何が最新で正しい情報なのかが分らなくなってしまう。
インターネットは、進歩を促進する非常に良い道具であると同時に、進歩を強力に阻害する力も持っている。
そんな中で、政治、倫理、技術、思想、学問、社会等が入り乱れて変化していく世界が現代である。温暖化という未曾有の危機が迫る中で、人類は無秩序、無計画のまま、さまよっている。
