The following is from an article by Katsumi Murotani, one of the world's leading Korean experts, published yesterday in Japan's must-read monthly magazine, Hanada. It is titled Moon Jae-in's "K quarantine" and the "Learn from Korea" lie.
If you read his genuine article, you will be painfully aware of how the Japanese media (especially TV stations) are under the manipulation of South Korea and China.
Dancing High on Illusions
They say, "Even a pig will climb a book if you flatter him.
Following this line of thinking, we can say that "Koreans will dance in the sky if you flatter them.
No, Koreans can soar to the sky by repeatedly praising themselves while viewing illusions, even without being coaxed by others.
President Moon Jae-in is a prime example.
He has soared higher than any other president, uttering a series of empty nembutsu (Buddhist chanting) such as "great Korean people" and "matured citizenship.
In Japan, there are some curious people who, seeing only the Korean people's soaring magnificence and knowing little about the reality of Korea, cry out that "Japan should learn from Korea.
As I see it, the majority of them are elderly, ill-informed, idiotic leftists who are passive recipients of TV talk shows.
Since they dance without being aware that they are being manipulated by TV, it may be more accurate to call them "stupid leftists whose only source of information is TV.
Above them, however, are stations like TV Asahi, which reported that "Japan is like South Korea..." after using editorial manipulation to turn a doctor's criticism of the "reckless number of tests" into the opposite of his opinion.
Its nidus is deep.
Their broadcasting licenses should be revoked.
The Moon Jae-in administration still needs to improve.
What will the Japanese people say when the policy of "building a Korea that leads the world" that this administration is pursuing ends up in a mess?
Not K-Quarantine, but K-Infection
On May 10, three years after taking office, Moon Jae-in delivered a commemorative speech.
He spoke of his primary response to the coronary crisis, "We will turn the crisis into an opportunity," which is very Korean. Then he began, "Our goal is to make the Republic of Korea 'the world leader.
We have already become the world leader in quarantine. K-Quarantine" has become a global standard.
For the record, it was reported on May 8 that an outbreak of infection had occurred at a gay club in Itaewon, Seoul.
The first patient (male, 29 years old) had a fever of nearly 39 degrees Celsius, but he was a monster, as he visited five gay clubs from the night of May 1 to the early morning of May 2.
He was found to be infected on May 6, and 13 people in his vicinity were confirmed positive.
By 10:00 a.m. on the 10th, the number of related infections had grown to 34.
The president, of course, knew this.
In the latter half of his speech, he said forcefully, "Even if an unexpected cluster emerges, we have the quarantine and medical systems and experience to respond promptly.
But still, he emphasized the "K quarantine" that has been successfully implemented by the "great Korean people.
In Korea, the "K" is added to things they want to show off to the world.
Perhaps "K-pops" was the first example.
Then came "K-beauty" (cosmetic surgery), "K-food" (Korean food), and so on.
Then came "K-Quarantine," the president said.
Some Japanese have commented on Itaewon's expansion, saying that the situation was almost under control in Korea and that the looseness of the problem must have resulted from that.
As I see it, this overlaps with those who cry, "Japan should learn from Korea."
However, it was not until May 6 that the Korean government lifted the "social distancing measures" and switched to a "living quarantine."
On May 1, the "social distancing measures" were still being requested.
Even though it was a consecutive holiday in Korea (April 30, Buddha's birthday, May 1, May Day, and Children's Day on May 5), it is astonishing that more than 5,000 people gathered at a gay club in Itaewon alone, which is a sex area.
A video taken inside the club on the day of the event shows young men dancing in a tight crowd.
What kind of "mature citizenship" is this?
In South Korea, prostitutes once demonstrated, "Let us be prostitutes."
Korean prostitutes are not only active domestically but have established bases all over the world and have been caught in countries all over the world.
South Korea is the world's leading "modern comfort women superpower."
On the other hand, South Korea is also a major gay nation.
This fact is not generally known to the general public, but it has long been "essential knowledge among Korean watchers."
Korean male prostitution rings have been busted many times in China.
Most recently, a lieutenant was raped by several junior officers in an army unit.
It was also revealed that a public health doctor was in a gay club in Itaewon.
After the holidays, he returned to his post (Gimje, Jeollabuk-do) and examined about 50 people by the 11th.
Then, the infection was revealed.
It is not the "K quarantine" that we should be proud of, but rather the "K infection" that the world scoffs at.
