私の知らないうちに、彼は取材型の新聞記者であることを少しずつグラデーションを描きながら捨てて行ったのだろう。

その間韓国は、近代国家失敗への道を自らの道標に沿って歩んでいた。

2014年には、朴槿恵大統領の離間策外交が始まる。

若宮氏は父親が鳩山一郎首相秘書官・若宮小太郎氏、東大法学部卒業後、朝日に入社して政治部記者、左翼的な毛並みもよく、金日成のインタビューに同行し、これで朝鮮に関心をもった。

日本が竹島を韓国に譲ってしまい、韓国がこれを称えて「友情島」と名付けて、周辺の漁業権を日本に認めるという常識はずれの文章だったが、あの夜の「韓国の悪いことを書かない」という贖罪派をけな気に愚かにも貫いた模様である。

そして退社後は、韓国に呼ばれて東西大学の修士課程の教授になった。
