These photos are from the joint Culture Day festival between the Elementary School and Kindergarten.

I will explain the work we have made and what students have learned.

Here is an introduction to work from the Arts and Crafts department.

First is the 6th Grade.

 Work from Grade 6:

1) Playing an instrument.

2) A design for Futaba.

3) Pottery challenge.

‘My Fabric’ (from Grade 5, term 3)

 We are exhibiting 4 pieces.

The 6th Grade have produced lots of nice work.

They have worked hard towards making work to exhibit in their last Elementary School Culture Day.

This is the third time we have exchanged work with another elementary school. This time in Yokohama.

The work was shown outside 1A’s class room on the 2nd floor.

Ms. K worked at the school in Yokohama until last year.

“Oh wow, Here’s some work from my previous art teacher!”

She said while looking at the work nostalgically.

Ms. K from the 6th grade really liked the work.

”Wow, this work from grade 2 is really good! You can see the work getting better and better as the students get older” she said.

Ms. M from the 4th Grade said “The colours are beautiful! It’s so colourful!!” as she looked at the different colours.

When all the students have gone home and the lights are switched off I walked past the work as I went downstairs.

With the only light coming as reflections from the student’s work my heart stopped for a moment as I had the same feeling about the beautiful colours as ms. M had had earlier in the day.

Working during the school interviews.

While waiting for their parents to finish the school interviews some hard-working students came to the Arts and Crafts room to work on their Josui Street sketches.

We can use our favorites colours to finish our work.

Of the 38 students there are always 2 who come to keep coming to work hard and concentrate for a long time on their work.
