資本主義の悪弊
資本主義は科学技術の活用と相俟って、現代社会の強力なエンジンであることは、間違いない。
しかしながら、飽くなき利潤の追求は激しい企業間競争と貧富の格差を拡大している事も事実である。激しい企業間競争が原因となって、法律や規制で禁じられていない領域では、社会的に悪影響が懸念される場合でも意に介しないという姿勢を採る事が多い。
企業経営の世界では、善管注意義務という事があるが、資本主義自体が社会的な悪影響を無視する誘引を内臓しているとも言えるだろう。法律に抵触しなければ、ゴーイングコンサーンを優先する企業が普通であろう。
弱肉強食、優勝劣敗の企業間競争は、市民間にも拡大され勝ち組と負け組みを生みだしている。これでは、社会がギスギスしていくだろう。
需要創造という美名の購買刺激や、計画的陳腐化という需要創造もある。企業経営の安泰のためであれば、環境保全は二の次で良いとする。資本主義とは欲望を根底にした制度であって、環境制約を優先すべき時代には時代遅れであるだろう。一刻も早い変革が望まれる。
