日本の時間、世界の時間。
The time of Japan, the time of the world

I hope that U.S. citizens will also reflect on the past in the presidential election

The following is from Masayuki Takayama's paper, entitled 'Trump is Good,' which brings the Weekly Shincho released today to a successful conclusion.
Not long ago, Michael Pillsbury, an alumnus of the U.S. State Department, said, "The U.S. has actively supported China, believing that it would become a decent country if we enriched it. But they were very wrong." (China 2049).
Secretary of State Pompeo also named his deceitful opponent, saying that Xi Jinping was a believer in failed totalitarianism.
Yamagata Aritomo had long ago warned that the Chinese were not only a people of the "Land of Virtue" (Ogyū Sorai) but also a brutal bunch.
It may seem too generous for people to realize by now, but it is not at face value.
As a matter of fact, Americans have known about their cunning from the time they started using them as replacements for black slaves (Coolie).
So when the transcontinental railroad was opened, they tried to keep the Chinese out by passing the Chinese Exclusion Act in 1882 to keep them out.
Because of Japan, they wanted to back together with the Chinese, who hated them so much.
After Japan opened its doors to the world, it quickly modernized, won the Sino-Japanese War, and showed how to win the war with Russia, the great white nation, by gazing at them.
Ryotaro Shiba says that 'Japan was to be puffed up with success,' but it is wrong.
Japan accepted Chinese students, educated them, and guided them toward democracy.
After the Xinhai Revolution, the Chinese set up a civilian-elected legislature where 43 million boys over the age of 21 and paying taxes voted, and 590 members were elected.
Nearly half of the legislators were studying in Japan.
Parliamentary democracy was indeed born in China.
But it also alarmed the whites.
Who is to say that "If Japan, the country of knowledge, and China, the country of 400 million people, join hands, who can say that they will not (instead of the white man) be the hegemon of the world" (Mussolini).
The United States approached China here.
It used Yuan Shikai and others to crush the Civil Election Council while luring international students to the United States who were going to Japan.
When Gu Weichang, Hu Sui, Song Meiling, and others returned to China, they carried out the boycott of Japanese goods and terrorism against the Japanese.
Japan and China were divided.
The United States also offered to give Chiang Kai-shek all the barbarian lands outside the Great Wall of China in a second round.
That was the Stimson Doctrine.
In exchange, he had Chiang Kai-shek provide Chiang Kai-shek with the entire National Government Army as U.S. mercenaries.
Then, in 1937, 60,000 trained Kuomintang troops and Chinese air force planes attacked the Japanese concession in Shanghai, and the quagmire war between Japan and China began.
The war spread to the Pacific, and finally, the United States came out, and Japan was defeated.
Just before that, Chiang Kai-shek was called to Cairo and was rewarded with the Chinese Exclusion Act's repeal.
But if Japan lost, Chiang Kai-shek had no use for it.
Chiang was discarded in the same way as Coolie, and soon afterward, he fell into Taiwan.
Twenty years later.
The United States approached China for the third time.
This time it was to get out of the Cold War between the U.S. and the Soviet Union and the bogged down Vietnam War.
At that time, China was controlled by Mao Zedong, who had a policy of "super British Pursuit of Britain and catching up with the United States."
The U.S. cut and dumped Taiwan, a permanent member of the Security Council, to curry Mao's favor and turn the people living there into exile people.
Mao was brutal, but more than that, he was cunning.
He skillfully cajoled and coaxed both the U.S. and Soviet Union into accepting aid and advanced technology from both sides.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, they bought everything from aircraft carriers to space engineers.
It is why the hats of the Chinese astronauts are the same as those of the Soviet Union.
On the other hand, the Democrat-controlled United States was offered cheap civilian labor by saying, "We have a slave factory that can be used freely.
As soon as they came to their senses, China, which they had thought of as an intellectual property pilferage country, began to pose as a "super British and super U.S." power.
Its insolent is avert one's eyes.
Pillsbury's statement that he was "tricked" is probably correct: "We thought we had tricked them and used them, but the Chinese have turned on us.
Fortunately, or instead, Trump has seared the atrocities of China.
He has also begun to mend the U.S.'s past mistakes of cutting off Taiwan.
Trump also questions Stimson's arbitrary decision.
I hope that U.S. citizens will also reflect on the past in the presidential election.
