The following is from an article in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun on July 17.
This article proves that my idea below, which I wrote on the official homepage of this column, was entirely correct.
Twitter Hires Complaint Handlers in India in Response to Government IT Regulations
The U.S. company Twitter will hire a grievance officer following introduced IT (information technology) regulations in India.
The Indian government had raised Twitter's violation of regulations and insisted that the company's immunity regarding the content of its posts be lifted.
In February, the Indian government announced regulations for companies operating social networking sites (SNS), setting forth rules for removing posts deemed inappropriate.
It also mandated the appointment of a person in charge in India to handle complaints, but the Indian government criticized Twitter for not appointing an appropriate person.
In a document submitted to the Dehli High Court on August 8, Twitter announced that it plans to hire a full-time grievance officer within eight weeks directly.
The first step was to appoint an interim grievance officer by April 11.
Other regulations, such as the appointment of a chief compliance officer, will be addressed in turn.
In a document submitted to the Delhi High Court on April 5, the Indian government stated that if Twitter's violations continue after the grace period, the exemption for social network operators from direct responsibility for the content of users' posts will be lifted.
The Delhi High Court had asked Twitter to report on the prospects of rectifying the violating conditions.

This article proved that the following thoughts of mine, stated on the official website of this column, were correct.
The defendant in the third lawsuit is Google Inc.
As for the number of damages for this lawsuit, I might also charge them for my transportation expenses when I tried to visit Google's Japanese office in Shibuya on March 25, 2021, to consult with them.
I also think I should claim damages for the fact that my book, which had been displayed on the social and economic shelves of Kinokuniya's Umeda main store for a year after its publication in 2011, ended up not selling at all.
However, the main issue is the following.
List the phone number of the consultation service on the Internet.
Hire a consultant for the victims on the Internet.
Change the way the Japanese branch is treated as an extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Stop the deception of using the Japan branch as a limited liability company.
Pay taxes properly to the Japanese government as a joint-stock company.
I hope that at least one wealthy person in the world is outraged by Google's behavior and will support us.
This article continues.
