モーニングティー

 

 

 

21日は雨が降って寒い日でした。たまプラーザの友人のうちでモーニングティーの日でしたが、ランチも招待いただいていました。
手作りのロールケーキを頂き、そのあとのランチは野菜スープ　スパゲッティー　ゼリ―　サラダでしたが、ゼリーがとても美味しくて、珍しかったのでレシピをいただきました。
なんでも息子さんご一家がウイーンに滞在中に、お嫁さんが学ばれた一品だそうです。

 

前撮り

 

来年孫が成人式を迎えます。、前撮りといって、今の時期に、正装してスタジオ写真を撮るのが最近のはやりみたいなので、忙しいママに変わって私が付き添いました。美容院でメークと髪をセットしてもらい、大切に保管してあった娘の振袖をきせて写真撮影をしました。写真撮影中は中には入れませんが、外にスクリーンがセットしてあり見れるようになっています。
暖かくお天気も良くてとてもいい日でした。

January 9th is a National Holiday popularly known as the Coming of Age Day. This is a special day for young ladies and boys who will be 20 years old in the year when they will be congratulated and they would realize they are already an adult.
It is fast becoming a trend for these young people to have their photographs taken in November to commemorate their coming of age at 20 years old.
My granddaughter is one of them. I took her to a beauty salon to have her hair and make-up done. She dressed up and wore the long sleeve formal kimono assisted by a pro. After this, many pictures of hers were taken at the photo studio and they would make a beautiful album of her pictures. I am sure all of us will take turns looking at these photos.
The kimono she wore was the one my daughter had worn when she was 20 years old. It is a Japanese tradition to pass on the kimono to a younger relative.
It was a nice sunny day. The sun smiles at us for this beautiful memorable day for my granddaughter.
In the evening, my whole family gathered to have a sumptuous dinner full of happiness and thanksgiving.

健康診断

　先週は三日続けて病院に行ったのであわただしい日が続きました。
ありがたいことにシャル君はとても元気で週二回火曜日と木曜日はレッスンに付き合ってくれました。土曜日は放牧のみでのんびりすごさせました。
私は年一回の健康診断の結果、昭和医大で再検査を受けることになり、定期的に行っているのと合わせて、火 水 木と病院が続きました。幸い経過観察ということで半年後に再 チェックということになりました。これで不安が払拭され、気にしなければいけない増えた数値は体重だけということになりました。

リュウマチは相変わらずでいつも先生に「無理をしないでください」と念を押されています。「他に痛いところありますか？」と聞かれた時「はい、前足が、、、」と言って先生が大笑いされ
「人間は二本しか足はありませんよ」と言われて間違いに気づきました。本当は左足の前の部分と言いたかったのですが。
優しくて楽しい先生なので行くだけで病気が治りそうです。
飼い主を失ったペットたちの話を耳にするたび、私も元気でいなければならない責任があるのだ自覚します。

Nearly a month ago, I had my annual health/medical check-up. Based on the results, I needed a more thorough and accurate testing for breast cancer aside from the other regular examination. This has kept me very busy this week. Thankfully, I was diagnosed negative for breast cancer. I felt relieved with the findings the doctor shared with me..
Pets that have lost their owners lead a miserable life after that.
I want to be healthy so I can take care of my beloved horse, Charle.
Charle has been doing very well these past days because of the cool weather.

雨のモーニングティー

 

 

 

 

朝から雨です。モーニングティーの日で、今日は歩いて2５分くらいのＮさんのお宅です。
テ―ブルの上に活けられた素敵な花が目をひきました。庭から切り取ってこられたものです。先日ＴＶで見たターシャチュウダーの庭を思い出しました。
Ｉさんは風邪で来られなかったので三人で少し寂しく思いました。Ｋさんの義理のお姉さまがつい最近亡くなられたそうです。実の妹さんを8月に亡くされたばかりで京都と横浜を往復で大変だったとお察しします。

シャル君の蹄鉄も、季節に合わせて飾りつけを変えて置いていただいています。

Morning of 17th of October was a day for a 25 minutes walk away from my house to visit Mrs. N and have a morning tea with her.
It was a rainy day but we didn’t mind and we hardly noticed since we stayed inside the house.
Upon entering Mrs. N’s living room, I found a lot of beautiful flowers arranged on the table. She cut those flowers from her garden like the late Tasha Chuder who is a famous writer of picture books and her flower garden.
One of our friends could not join us that morning because she was down with a cold.
We missed her a lot.
Another friend told us that she went to Kyoto for the funeral of her sister in law last week.
Her younger sister passed away last August. She still mourns the lost of her sister.
This was a lovely yet lonely morning….but it will pass. Nothing stays forever, even loneliness.

 

永久の別れ

　かねてより療養中でいられたクラブの会長が10月1日に86歳でお亡くなりになりました。やすらかな最後とのことでした。
私が乗馬をはじめたころはまだとてもお元気で、大変お世話になりました。
5日に告別式に参列させていただきました。
馬術界で活躍された個人を偲ぶとともに、会員は敬意を賞して競技用の正装で式に臨みました。
天国で喜んで頂けたら嬉しく思います。

Today I went to the funeral of the former president of our riding club. He passed away at the age of 86.
At the ceremony we showed our respect to him by wearing our formal riding uniforms.
May his soul rest in Heaven.
