朝の水まき

 

 

 

 

　日曜日の午後は予報通り雨になりました。少し降っただけでしたが植物には潤いの雨だったことでしょう。
毎朝の水まきも朝のクラブの大切な仕事のひとつですが、スプリクラ―のついてない上の馬場は、重い長いホース引きずってのスタッフのお仕事です。
水撒き中でもシャル君を放牧しますが、あの長いニョロニョロしたホースが怖かったのですがやっと逃げなくなりました。でもいまだに跨ぐのがおっかなびっくりなのです。
土曜の朝はやっと二回跨げました。でもいやなものから逃れるように急いでまたぐのです。慎重なのか臆病なのかわかりませんが、だんだん回数を重ねるうちに少しずつは慣れてきているようです。

Its been nearly a month since we had no rain. I was a little worried about all the plants but luckily we had some rain on Sunday.
If there is no rain, the raiding ground becomes very dusty, so staff at the club sprinkle water over it using a machine every morning.
But, the ground Charle roams has no machine. They sprinkle it with water using a long and heavy hose.
It is like a big snake for Charle.
At first he was very much afraid of it and would go away from it but recently, he got used to it.
However, it is a very difficult task for him to step over the hose.
I tried to accustom him to it gradually. Now he could cross over it but he does it very quickly as if he is running away from something very scary.

　シャル君は別の意味でお天気やです。風にはあまり強い反応は示さないまでも、気温には敏感に反応します。今朝は昨日よりも１０度近く気温が下がり寒く感じられました。
レッスンの前に放牧すると活発に動き回っていました。昨日私は月１回の診察に行きましたが、少しなら走ってもいいと許可をいただきました。関節を酷使しなければ症状はすすまないように思います。
他の注意は守っているので、これくらいは多分許されるのでしょう。
埒沿いにシャル君と走ると体がポカポカしてきます。

According to the lunar calendar, the third of February is the beginning of spring.
The bean-throwing ceremony is held at the shrines or temples to invite good luck and remove bad luck.
Plum blossoms are in their full bloom due to the cold air.
In Japan , February is the coldest month. Nevertheless, my horse has been very vigorous or robust.
During these days, temperature is not stable. The temperature gap is wide day by day.
This affects horses conditions.
Before his lesson, I let him roam on the riding ground and enjoy watching him moving around.
In spring, we often have windy days. The wind causes lots of sounds and trees and bamboo groves wave widely.
Horses don't like these scenes and are easily surprised.
So during these days, we have to be very cautious.

季節の変化

 

今日は朝から暖かく日中は１４度くらいまで気温が上がりました。このような急に気温が上がる日は馬には辛いできごとです。
そのためかシャル君はちょっと元気さに欠けました。でも朝放牧の時、スタッフが水まき中ホースをまたぐことが出来たことはシャル君にとっては素晴らしいことでした。
レッスンでは速足がいまいちでした。やはりこのような天気は苦手なのです。いつも冷たい空気を口から吸いこむのを避けるため、マスクをしますが今日は必要なかったかもしれません。
明日はもっと気温が上がりそうで、予報では２０度位まで上がるとか気になります。
手入れを終えて馬房に変える時も、来て一週間のゴローちゃんの前を落ち着いて通れました。

春遠からず

 

 

 

 

昨日は強風が吹き荒れて、乗馬には不向きだったようです。今日は風は冷たかったものの、さほど強くもなく太陽も顔をだしていました。
馬は寒くても元気ですが、雪の中で働く馬達は霜焼けなどにならないのか気になります。きっとペンギンやシロクマが氷の上でも平気なのと同じなのでしょうか。
放牧したシャル君と一緒に何回も埒ぞいに往復していたら、体があたたかくなってきました。私も一緒に走りたいのですが、止められているのでなるべく速く歩くようにしています。
今週から雪丸ちゃんに変わってゴローちゃんが来ました。シャル君はゴローちゃんに興味があるようです。馬房から出すとゴローちゃんの方に行こうとしました。
皐月ちゃんはゴローちゃんのこどもですが、まったく関心がなさそうです。
シャル君の馬房の近くの梅の花がだんだん開花してきました。

 

大寒

 

 

 

 

 

大寒は過ぎましたが、今日本は一番寒い時期です。三浦でも深夜から早朝にかけては気温がマイナスになるようで、朝行くと水が凍っています。
でもレッスンが始まるころには、風がなく日が差すと暖かく感じられるようになります。時には曇っていたり風が強かったりすると寒さが身にこたえます。馬場の周りは冬景色一色です。
火曜日 木曜日はレッスン前に放牧しましたが、シャル君はすこぶる調子がいいようです。
馬場から見る富士山もすっかり雪に覆われていて、その美しさを誇っているように感じられます。
チャーリーが新馬場に放牧されていて、行くと寄ってきておやつ頂戴サインです。

These past few days, Japan has been experiencing very cold weather. Sometimes, the temperature would drop below zero.
In Miura, where the stable of Charle is located, it is also very cold in the morning. I often find the water in the bucket frozen and the dripping water from the hose like an icicle.
On a sunny day with no wind, it is warmer during the day time but on a cloudy and windy day, I can hardly bear the coldness.
Regardless of the cold weather, Charle is very vigorous, vibrant and active. Every time I see Charle happily moving around in the ground, it makes me feel delighted. We are both very happy.
In winter, the air is so clear, I can see the snow capped Mt. Fiji. It is such a breathtaking view.
During our horseback riding lessons, Charle performs very well.
Behind the stable of Charle, the plum tree has started to bloom.
