「 Fior タイプ」フロントフォーク / ”Fior type" Front Fork

ドゥカティのユニットと電気モーターを搭載した、ハイブリッドモデルのコンセプト車です。 僕が最も惹かれて点は「Fior タイプ」のフロントフォークです。

This is a concept hybrid model with a Ducati unit and an electric motor. The thing that attracted me the most was the "Fior type" front fork.

どの車両メーカーも電動化の波は無視できず、何等かの模索は行なっており、その過程で誕生したのが、デンマーク人のDaniel Kemnirts 氏が製作したこのコンセプト車です。どこまで ドゥカティ社の関与があるかは不明ですが、2気筒 499㏄ 60kw（約 80Hp）と 電気モーター 50kw （67Hp）を搭載していて、搭載方法もオーソドックスで特に目新しい点はありません。
   
ただ、注目した点は「Fior タイプ」のフロントフォークを採用している点です。Fior とは元レーサーとして活躍した後で 、1980年代に WGP用（現在の MotoGP）にフレームコンストラクターとして参戦していた人の名前です。そして、そのフレームで最も注目を集めていたのが「Fior タイプ」のフロントフォークです。その構造や Fior 氏自身の事が書かれた記事は別途紹介します。
    
このフロントフォークは、殆ど車両で採用されている テレスコピック形式の欠点を解消して、優れた剛性と安定性、そしてサスペンションとしての作動性の高さを実現した優れたシステムです。そして、覚えている人も多いと思いますが、1991年、NZ の天才的なエンジニア・Britten 氏が作り、当時のワールドクラスのツイン（車）レースで圧倒的な成績を収めた、 Britten V1000 のフロントフォークもこの「Fior タイプ」だったのです。同様な形式も考案されているなど、呼び 名は色々ありますが、著者の意向に沿って「Fior タイプ」と記載しました。

All motorcycle manufacturers are looking for some form of electrification, and this concept vehicle, created by Danish designer Daniel Kemnirts, is the result of that process. Although the extent of Ducati's involvement is unclear, the bike is powered by a two-cylinder 499 cc 499 lb-60 kW (approx. 80 Hp) and an electric motor 50 kW (67 Hp), and the installation method is orthodox and nothing new.
  
However, one thing that caught our attention was the use of "Fior-type" front forks, the name of a former racer and frame constructor who competed in the WGP (now MotoGP) in the 1980s. The most notable feature of the frame was the "Fior-type" front fork. The article describing its construction and Mr. Fior himself will be introduced separately.
    
This front fork is an excellent system that eliminates the shortcomings of the telescopic type used in most vehicles and provides excellent rigidity and stability, as well as high suspension performance. And, as many of you may remember, the front fork of the Britten V1000, built by the brilliant NZ engineer Britten in 1991 and a dominant winner in the world-class twin races of the time, was also of this "Fior type". There are many different names for this type of fork, but I have used "Fior type" in accordance with the author's intention.

巨匠 マルチェロ・ガンディーニ氏 逝く / The great master Marcello Gandini passed away

 
3月13日、イタリア生まれの 稀代のデザイナー：Marcello Gandini、亡くなった事が報じられています。享年85歳、ご冥福を祈ります。

On March 13th, it was reported that the rare Italian-born designer Marcello Gandini passed away. He passed away at the age of 85. We pray for his soul.

ベルトーネ在籍時、カーデザイナーとしてのデビュー作、ランボルギーニ・ミウラで一気に注目を集め、続いてアルファロメオのショーモデル・カラボでその先進性を世界に知らしめ、代表作となるランボルギーニ・カウンタックで更に名声を高め、ベルトーネを離れた後も、世界中の人々の記憶に刻まれ続ける車をデザインしています。ランチャ・ストラトス、フェラーリ・ディノ・308GT4、マセラティ・カムシン、BMW 5シリーズ、シトロエンBX、ランボルギーニ・ディアブロ、さらに多くのメーカーの依頼でショーモデルもデザインし続けていました。

現代のカーデザインの潮流を作ったとも言える人物で、彼を超えるようなカーデザイナーは二度と出てこないと断言できるでしょう。心の中に、ぽっかりと穴が開いています。

During his tenure at Bertone, he quickly attracted attention with his debut work as a car designer, the Lamborghini Miura, followed by the Alfa Romeo show model Carabo, which showed the world how advanced his work was, and his masterpiece, the Lamborghini Countach, which further enhanced his reputation. After leaving Bertone, he continued to design cars that remain etched in the memories of people around the world.
His main works include Lancia Stratos, Ferrari Dino 308 GT4, Maserati Khamsin, BMW 5 Series, Citroen BX, Lamborghini Diablo, and he continued to design show models at the request of many manufacturers.

交通公園、第一回目の清掃報告 / Trafic Park、First Cleanup Report

 

先日、イベント開催と情報発信をする為の新たな会場候補、交通公園、の第一回目の清掃を行なってきました。
 

なにが必要になるのか、実際に清掃をやってみないとわかりませんが、取り敢えず、ミニスコップ（赤いシャベル）とチリ取り付きホウキ を購入し、竹ボウキ や コンテナボックス（青色）を持込み、垂れ幕を掲示しました。 これは、市役所の担当者にも伝えたのですが、不審者が施設に入っているとの誤解や通報を少しでも避け、施設管理者の方に迷惑を掛けない為の配慮です。と同時に、GRA の事もアピールを兼ねています。
 

広い会場ですが、今回の清掃箇所は 赤い丸印と矢印で示した所です。 というのも、広い会場の中央部にある交差点で、最も広い道幅の所に面していて、最も利用頻度が高くなる箇所だからです。

その交差点角には土や砂が溜まり、そこに芝が浸食していて、これはどう見ても危険なので撤去しなければなりません。その縁石沿いの長さは 約3ｍほど、さあ始めましょう。やってみないと判りません。

神戸から引っ越してきて、自然に溢れ、自然の力強さに心身ともに癒されてきましたが。正に自然は強力です。 簡単に思えた芝の撤去は、結構、根気の要る作業でした。 除去した 土や砂、そして芝を コンテナ一杯にして、何度も廃棄しなければなりませんでした。
 

そして、1時間30分、ようやく 目標の場所の清掃、そして、施設周辺のゴミ拾いを行なって 今日の予定は完了です。
会場はまだまだ広く、コース全面に砂や細かい土がトッピングされている他、今回と同様な作業が必要な箇所はまだ多くあります。 きっと、最低でも 30日、60時間・人 以上は清掃が必要になるでしょう。

それにしても植物の力は強力です。芝を除去した後の路面は、まるで ハツリ機で路面を削った様にアスファルトが 掘れて窪んでいます。 コンクリート製の速攻や地中に埋設した管が植物の力で破損する事があるとは聞いた事はありますが、アスファルトでもこうなるのですね。 きっと、長年の努力の賜物でしょうけど ・・

では、今回の作業で必要な機材や工程の確認は出来mしたので、次回も、同じ交差点周辺を中心に作業を行ない、一定の作業が終わった段階で、交差点周辺の走行確認を行なう予定です。それほどに、今まで走った経験の無い路面の状態ですから、確認は常に必要です。しかし、程よく路面表面は荒れているので、いつも行なうスニーカーチェックでは、ホコリさえ無ければ、結構 グリップレベルは高い？ 予感はあります。

そろそろ、始動します / It's time to get started

 自宅から 3㎞。途中に信号は1個だけという、絶好の場所が使えそうです。
住んでいる市の施設ですが、最近、使われた形跡が無く、コース路面が荒れている事が課題です。そこで、コースのクリーニング作業を申し出て、了承を得ました。
結構な時間、日数が必要だと思いますが、それで、施設の利用者が増えたら本望です。

3km from home. There is only one traffic light along the way, so it looks like it will be a great driving venue. It's a facility run by the city where I live, but there are no signs of it being used recently, and the course surface is rough.
Therefore, I offered to clean the course and received their approval. I think it will take a lot of time and days, but I would like to see an increase in the number of people using the facility.




最近、今年になってから友達になった人に大きな刺激を受けています。
海外に住む彼は、オートバイを上手に走らせる事も熱心ですが、とても礼儀正しく、素直な人です。そんな彼に負けたくなくて、体調の回復を見ながら、少しずつ乗る量を増やします。そして、彼を含めた、全世界の熱心なライダーへの発信を増やしていきたいと考えています。

Recently, I've been really inspired by someone I've become friends with this year. Living in a foreign country, he is passionate about riding motorcycles well, but more than that, he is a very polite and honest person. I don't want to lose to him, so I will gradually increase the amount of riding I do while watching my health recover.
And we will increase the number of messages sent to passionate riders around the world, including him.

 

 

 

 

 

春間近の “黄” 信号、キズイセン / Yellow Daffodils heralding Spring

 
家の花壇、初めての春間近、新たな花が咲きました。
黄色の花びらの水仙、キズイセン です。
カタバミ や タンポポ の先客に続いて、黄色がまた灯りました。
きっと、「春だよ～ さあ、活動を始めよう！」と言っているのでしょう。

The first new flowers have bloomed in our flower beds as spring approaches. 
The yellow petaled daffodils, kizusens, are in full bloom. 
Yellow lit up again, following Oxalis and her dandelion predecessors.
I'm sure they're saying, "It's spring! Let's get started!"
