お彼岸なので墓参りに行って来ました。父の墓は高尾、母の墓は千葉県の勝田台にあるので一度に両方行くのは大変ですが彼岸の中日が雨だったので今日一気に行って来ました。どちらの墓も宗教とは関係のない霊園にありますが、たまたま図書館から借りていた「日本の１０大新宗教」（島田裕巳著）を行き帰りに読みました。新宗教と言うのはほとんど何らかの元の宗教があり、それが分派してできるものなのですね。それにしてもこれらの新宗教が全て数万から数百万もの信者を抱えているとは驚きです。この本に書かれている宗教で全く名前も聞いたことのないものがありましたが、昔一時千葉県の野田市運河という所に一年程住んでいたことがあるので知った霊波の光と言う新興宗教については全く記述がなかったのが意外です。初めて運河に行った時にに立派な天守閣のある城を見かけびっくりしました。こんな所に城があるなんて、ここは何藩だったけ？ しかし、日曜日になると信者が大勢その城に向かって集まってくるので、この城の天守閣のように見える建物は宗教施設だと判った次第です。全国に支部もあるようだし、TVや電車などでも宣伝している様なので、信者数はやはり少なく見ても数万とか数十万はいそうです。著者の島田氏によるとオウムを含めカルトは新興宗教に含めないとのことなので霊波の光はカルトなのかなと推測しますが、私からすれば新興宗教もカルトも同じ穴のムジナと思いますが。宗教では "God created man." と主張するようですが、私は "Human being created gods." と思っています。「日本の１０大新宗教」を読んで益々その考えに確信を持ちました。従って神(gods）は色々あって、またいたるところにいるので、神のいない世界（世間と言った方が正確ですが）を探す方が難しいと思うのですが、次ぎの話はその神がどこかに行ってしまった様です。
A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.
They boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually. So the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.
The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?".
They boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide-eyed. So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is God!!?" Again the boy made no attempt to answer. So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"
The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"
The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in BIG trouble this time, dude. God is missing - and they think WE did it!"
