YK9G オンライン・ログ

The UK team operating YK9G in Syria is getting into full swing with
6,300 CW QSOs in the log during the first 24 hours. They have two
stations. The YK9G logs are being uploaded to LOTW daily as well as a
log search at http://yk9g.com/onlinelog/, thanks to 5B4WN, Mario.
G3TXF, Nigel, says "The first night (Wed/Thur) was spent entirely on
30m/40m/80m". The team has installed a 160 meter antenna and expects
to be QRV on Topband "during the coming nights". Nigel also reports
"The five operators (G3SXW, G3TXF, G4BWP, G5LP and GM3YTS) are working
to a precise five-hour rota devised by Roger G3SXW. Five hours on,
and then either five or ten hours off, depending on the rota". The
YK9G Website can be found at www.yk9g.org. QSL via G3TXF.

YK1BA, Syria, from April 21st to MAy 2nd, 2008

Update on my 2008 YK trip

I will be arriving Damascus on 4/20 evening and should be QRV as YK1BA again from 4/21 till 5/2, returning home to Texas on 5/3. As usual, the purpose of the trip is not a DXpedition, so my operating will be spotty.
However, I hope to be able to operate at least 3 - 4 hours a day.
With the current band conditions and my typical operating times, I suspect that I will spend most of my radio time on 30, 40, and 80 Meters. However, I will operate on whatever band (10 -- 80) and mode that have the best propagation at the time. Most probable operating times are between 20:00 - 23:00 UTC or between 02:00 - 05:00 UTC and possibly some occasional activities between 12:00 -14:00 UTC. I will be active on SSB, CW, and TTY.
