YA - AFGHANISTAN
John Critz,KD5NOI, and Terence Lowery,K5TLL, will be in Aghanistan
between October 2010 and May 2011. John will sign T6JC and Terence will
be T6TL. He will use an IC706 and works mostly in SSB and digital modes
on 40m, 20m, 17m, 15m, 12m and 10m. Furthermore he want to test also a
folded dipole for 80m.

Yuri Sushkin, N3QQ is planning an IOTA operation to take place from the Marshall Islands in October.

His current schedule (subject to change, as "travel in RMI is very unreliable", he says) is to reach on 6 October, then to be QRV from Enewetak Atoll (OC-087, requested call V73QQ) on 12-15 October, from Ujelang Atoll (OC-278, new one, requested call V73RRC) indicatively between 16 and 19 October and possibly again from Enewetak on 20-21 October.

Since the last press release a few things have changed concerning the
ZL8X DXpedition. Chris,DL1MGB, writes that the sea freight is ready
for shipping. Due to other commitments Joerg,DL8WPX, and Markus,DJ7EO,
had to cancel their plans. A new operator is YL Vicky,SV2KBS. The
current list of operators include DJ5IW, DJ9RR, DK1II, DL1MGB, DL3DXX,
DL5CW, DL5LYM, DL5XL, DL6FBL, DL8LAS, DL8OH, SP5XVY and SV2KBS. The

between October 10-23th) announced some new QSL info this past week. For
the upcoming operation, the Bureau service will now also be used. The
Bureau QSL manager will be G6BMY. To manage QSLs via the Bureau, the
Global QSL Service will be used through G6BMY. So, if you want to send
your request of confirmation via the Bureau, send it to G6BMY. If you
want to send your request of confirmation via direct, send it to I2YSB.
They also announced that a OQRS (Online QSL Request System) will be
used on their Web page to request direct QSLs without the need to send
yours at: http://win.i2ysb.com/qsl_request/default.asp
