S2, BANGLADESH. John, KX7YT, will once again be active as S21YV from
Dhaka, April 14-21st. It was reported that he was only able to secure
a 7 day license for this trip but is having difficulty securing anything
longer term. John is expected to be there until May 1st, but may return
in late spring or early summer. Activity will only take place during his
spare time. QSL via his home callsign.

VK9X, CHRISTMAS ISLAND (Oceania Adventure DXpedition). Four operators
will be active from Christmas Island (OC-002) during July for 10 days.
Activity will be on 160-10 meters and possibly 6 meters. They plan to
have three station active (one with high power, 2 barefoot). Operators,
with modes of operation and their callsigns are as follows:
Manuel/CT1BWW (CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK31/SSTV) - VK9XWW
Juan/EA3GHZ (CW/SSB) - VK9XHZ
Juan/EA45EOR (SSB/RTTY/PSK31/SSTV) - VK9XOR
Claudina/EC5BME (YL - SSB only) - VK9XME

Pilot stations are: Africa - ZS1AU, Asia -JA8BMK, Europe - EA4TD,
Ocenia - ZL2AL and VK2CZ, and North America - K4SV. QSL via EA4URE,

News Release #2: 3B6 - Agalega Island, 14-18 April '08 update w/QRG info

Rachid, 3B8FQ, is expected to land overnight on Agalega Island, AF-001. He will operate as 3B6FQ for five days, 14 - 18 April 2008. When not tending to radio officer duties, Rachid will operate all bands 80-10M, on SSB and CW only.

Following are the preferred operating frequencies:

Operations should begin around 18:30utc on 14 April, on 14MHz, and later on 3.5MHz from 01:30 - 02:30utc on 15 April. Equipment will be battery powered at 70W, with simple antennas. Rachid expects to concentrate on SSB, but he is also a skilled CW operator, and will also operate on the CW frequencies indicated.
