Internet Archiveと青春の恥ずかしい思い出

紀元前300年頃の古代都市アレクサンドリアは、かの世界7不思議の1つ「ファロスの大灯台」や世界最古の大図書館「アレクサンドリア図書館」が設立され、学問の中心として栄えました。

アレクサンドリア図書館は、世界中の文献を集めることを目的として建設されましたが、やがて炎上とともにほとんどが失われてしまいました（炎上原因は諸説あり）。

過去からの膨大なwebなどの記録をキャッシュしている「Internet Archive」を知っている方も多いと思います。人類の知識や遺産を保存してそのコレクションを公開するという目標から、「アレクサンドリア図書館バージョン2」と言われる事もあります。

「 Internet Archive」は1996年ブリュースター・カール氏（Brewater Kahle氏)によって設立された非営利の団体です。

 The Internet Archive is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public. 

 中でもいつの間にか無くなったWEBなどを見るのに ウェイバックマシン（Wayback Machine）と言うシステムが便利です。使用方法は、WEBの真ん中にある検索バーに探しているサイトのURLを入力して、「TakeMeBack」をプッシュ）。

でも、過去の恥ずかしい記録も残ってします。秋木も10年後に自分のブログを見たら、とても恥ずかしいです。未来の自分に嫌われないよう少しはましなことを書きたいものです。

その前に下らない事をかいて、WEBが炎上したりする可能性もありますが（炎上原因は諸説あり）。灰となっても記録に残っているのは痛いです。

とりあえず、 http://www.archive.org/about/exclude.phpで記録を削除する方法も記載されています。

このデーターは、アレクサンドリア図書館を継ぐ図書館として設立された新アレキサンドリア図書館（Bibliotheca Alexandrina）にも保存されています。http://www.bibalex.org/isis/frontend/archive/archive_web.aspx

Moving Images：クラシック映画やビデオの視聴可能。

 Welcome to the Archive's Moving Images library of free movies, films, and videos. This library contains thousands of digital movies which range from classic full-length films, to daily alternative news broadcasts, to videos of every genre uploaded by Archive users. Many of these movies are available for download.

Text Archive：パブリックドメインの作品を入手可能。

This collection is open to the community for the contribution of any type of text, many licensed using Creative Commons licenses． Please feel free to contribute your texts!

Audio Archive：音の図書館。

 This library contains over a hundred thousand free digital recordings ranging from alternative news programming, to Grateful Dead concerts, to Old Time Radio shows, to book and poetry readings, to original music uploaded by our users. Many of these audios and MP3s are available for free download.

Software Archive：ソフトウェアを探せる

The Software Archive is designed to preserve and provide access to all kinds of rare or difficult to find, legally downloadable software titles and background information on those titles.

Open Educational Resources：教育用の資料を探せる

Welcome to the Archive’s library of Open Educational Resources and university lectures. This library contains hundreds of free courses, video lectures, and supplemental materials from universities in the United States and China. Many of these lectures are available for download.

さらに、「Internet Archive」は「OpenLibrary」プロジェクト を行なっており、文字通りオープンな図書館を行っています。

Open Library is a project of the non-profit Internet Archive， and is funded in part by a grant from the California State Library。 We have a small team of fantastic programmers who have accomplished a lot, but we can't do it alone!
