【Simple Expressions】
・I'm afraid that I can’t hear you.（すみませんが、聞こえません）
・There is something wrong with the connection, and I can't hear you well.（接続の調子が悪いようで、お声が聞き取りづらいのですが）

【Polite Expressions】
・Could you please speak closer to the microphone?（マイクに近づいて話してもらえますか？）
・I'm sorry to interrupt, but I couldn’t hear what you said. Could you please repeat that again？（中断してすみませんが、よく聞こえませんでした。もう一度お願いできませんか？）

Good morning, and thank you very much for checking out English Plus blog.
Today, I'd like to write about our new item at English Plus.
Since English Plus moved to our current location on August 1st, the number of our staff members has been increasing gradually. (We really appreciate each and every one of our staff members.)
Now we have some staff members, so we've just made our new original English Plus staff shirt.
Its color is blue, which is from English Plus' base color, and "English Plus" logo on it.
Though it's quite simple, we like it.
All of our staff members are going to wear it in the near future.

Today, I'd like to recommend a good English training method for those who can't continue English study.
There are a lot of ways to improve English skills.
You can speak, listen, read, write, memorize vocabulary, and so on.
However, the most important tip to improve English skills is to continue the training everyday.
Continuing the training means "making the training your daily routine."
It sounds easy but it's tough to continue English training everyday since you have work and you don't have enough energy left for English study.
In this case, I'd like to recommend easy & simple English training "1 sentence diary."
What you need for this training is "a pen & a notebook."
You can write down anything you want, such as what you did today or what you thought about the day.
For instance, "I met my friend and talked about my work."
You can start with a very simple sentence.
If you get accustomed to this training, let's make it longer and longer.
You can use vocabulary, expressions, and grammar that you've learned from English Plus' lessons.
Let's write one sentence every day and make it your daily routine in 2017!

Today, let's practice some basic English for the TOEIC test part 2.
As you probably know that the TOEIC test consists of 2 sections "Listening section (Part 1-4) & Reading section (Part 5-7)" and Listening is about 45 min, plus Reading is about 75 min.
There is no break between Listening and Reading, so you have to concentrate on the test for 2 hours in a row.
The next official TOEIC test is scheduled on April 10th.
Some of you may be thinking about taking it and aiming to get a better score.
To improve your TOEIC score, the most important thing is "to prepare for the test."
So, from today, let's prepare for the TOEIC test and at the same time, let's learn some basic English skills!
Today, let's try some English training for the TOEIC Part 2.
The Part 2 is currently composed of 30 questions and you have to choose the best response to the question or statement.
About this Part 2 questions, you can do the training through daily life.
How-to-do the training is simple because what you need to do is "having a conversation in English."
To have a conversation, what you need is a partner because conversation consists of asking questions and answering them.
However, you might feel speaking English with Japanese is strange...if so, you should interpret or translate the conversation in English.
For instance, when you hear a conversation like this...
A: "それどこで買ったの？"
B: "田町で見つけた新しいお店で買ったんだ"
The situation could be in daily or business.
The point of this training is to think in English.
You don't have to make grammatically perfect sentences, but let's try to make sentences with your own vocabulary and grammar.
It will help you to improve not only your TOEIC score, but also your basic English skills.

Today, let's practice some basic English for the TOEIC test part 1.
As you probably know that the TOEIC test consists of 2 sections "Listening section (Part 1-4) & Reading section (Part 5-7)" and Listening is about 45 min, plus Reading is about 75 min.

About this Part 1 questions, you can do the training through daily life.
How-to-do is simple because you just need to "describe a scene around you."
For instance, if you see a man walking, you can make a statement like this...
・A man is walking.
Or if you want to describe more, you can add some more information, such as...
・A gentleman is walking in front of me.
・A gentleman in a business suit in front of me is carrying a business bag.
The point of this training is to think about sentences in English.
Try to describe a scene with your own words.
It will help you to improve not only your TOEIC score, but also your basic English skills.
"Now" is the time to get started and let's try every day!

Today, I'd like to write about some English learning tips.
English communication basically consists of "listening" and "speaking."
What I mean by "listening" is "to understand what they say" and "speaking" is "you can say what you want to say even it's a simple sentence."
To improve communication skills, these two skills need to improve!
Especially, if you want to speak English more accurately even the sentences are very simple, you need to master basic English grammar.
If you master basic English grammar, you can say what you want to say more accurately and others understand you more correctly.
To make sentences by yourself, you need to have not only grammar knowledge but also the ability to use the grammar.
Here at English Plus, you can learn basic English grammar and do some training in order to use grammar for communication.
Let's learn basic grammar for communication every day!

Today, I'd like to introduce an English training method to improve listening skill.
There was an official TOEIC test this past Sunday, and the next one is about a month away.
We still have some time, so let's prepare for the next TOEIC test every day from today.
There are some training methods we can do but one of the training methods I would like to recommend today is called "Dictation training."
Dictation training is good to help you improve listening skills.
What you need to prepare for this training is...
1. An English book with CD (e.g. dialogue book)
2. A pen and a notebook
How to do the training is quite simple.
1. Listen to a CD once without the script
2. Listen to the same CD 5~10 times to jot down what you hear (*even if you can't hear some words, don’t stop the CD in the middle of the dialogue)
3. Check the script to see if what you've written down is correct (*check the spelling too)
4. Read out loud with the CD
If you continue doing this dictation training, your listening skill and TOEIC listening score may improve!
