小さな英語学校のユニークな英語力アップサポート - 個別セルフスタディチェックシート

Good morning and thanks a lot for checking out English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to introduce one of our English school's unique points about student support system.
Right now, upon our students' requests, we provide a self-study check sheet at our English school.
The uniqueness of this self-study check sheet is we can customize a self-study plan for each student after listening to their life styles, their purposes to study English and so on; therefore, it's not difficult for them to carry it out since the average self-study time is about 30 minutes every day!
However, there are some rules that the students who received this sheet to follow...
1. They have to continue self-study!
2. To continue self-study, they have to show the sheet to us regularly! (There is a yearly calendar so they can check the day that they study.)
I strongly believe that "To improve English skills, self-study is essential!"
If you are our students and are serious about learning English, please ask us the sheet for yourself!

本日は“小さな英語学校のユニークな英語力アップサポート - 個別セルフスタディチェックシート”についてです。

現在、英語学校では生徒の方のリクエストに応じて、個別にセルフスタディ（英語自己学習）のためのチェックシートを作成しています。

セルフスタディチェックシートの特徴は、普段の生活の中で一人一人に合わせた無理のないおすすめの英語自己学習の方法（例：スピーキング力アップ）や時間（３０分程度）などをおすすめしている点です。

このセルフスタディチェックシートを受け取った際の生徒の方のルールとしましては…

１．受け取ったら絶対に自己学習を続ける！

２．定期的にこのシートを見せる！（シートには自己学習の年間カレンダーがついており、自己学習をした日にチェックを入れてもらうように工夫しています）

英語力アップのために“自己学習は必須！”ですので、現生徒の方で本気で英語の自己学習に取り組みたい方はいつでも相談にどうぞ！（また、この秋からEnglish Plusで英語を始めたい方で自己学習も一緒に！という方もお気軽にどうぞ！）

レッスンから学ぶ家やビルに関する間違えやすい英語

Good morning and thank you so much for visiting English Plus blog!
Today, let’learn some English related to houses and buildings.
Through some lessons at English Plus, I realized our students can talk about a wide variety of topics, but at the same time, there are some common mistakes they make.
One of the typical mistakes is related to houses and buildings.
For example, I often hear some of our students say, "I live in a mansion."
(In Japanese, a mansion is generally used as the meaning of an apartment or a condo.)
So, today let's learn English about houses and buildings!

English Plusの英語学校でのレッスンを通して気付いたのは、生徒の方々は英語で色々なトピックの話をすることができますが、時として同じような英語の間違いをすることがあるという点です。

よくある間違いの１つが家やビルに関する英語です。

時々レッスンの中で耳にするのが "I live in a mansion." という文です。

日本語ですとmansion（マンション）が既に日本語化していますのでそのまま使いがちですが、英語ですとこの文は違う意味になります。

そんな今日は“レッスンから学ぶ家やビルに関する間違えやすい英語”を紹介していきたいと思います。

英語学校の卒業生から届いた嬉しいニュースのご報告

Good morning and I appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to tell you happy news from one of our ex-students!
The other day, one of our ex-students suddenly visited us.
We didn't expect her sudden visit, so we were very surprised!
The reason she visited us was to tell us great news!
She told us that her dream to work as a flight attendant finally came true!
We knew her dream when she was taking English lessons at English Plus, so we were very happy for her!
What I learned from her this time was "learning English with having a high motivation to achieve something is very important!"
To assist our students to achieve each of their goals and dreams, I will keep doing the best that I can!

本日は“英語学校の卒業生から届いた嬉しいニュースのご報告”です。

先日、英語学校を卒業された生徒の方が突然お見えになりました。

全く予期していなかった突然の訪問だったためとても驚きました！

訪問の理由を尋ねると“良い知らせがあってどうしてもお伝えしたかった”ということでしたので、よくよく聞いてみると“遂に客室乗務員になる夢が叶った！”ということでした。

English Plusに通ってくださっている時から、当人の夢を知っていた経緯もあり、自分たちにとってもとても嬉しいニュースとなりました。

この嬉しいニュースから“何かを達成したい！もしくは、何か叶えたい夢がある！というような何かモチベーションを持って楽しく英語を勉強することは、大事！”ということを改めて学びました。

通ってくださる一人一人のために、これからも引き続き更に良いレッスンと英語力アップのためのサポートをしていきたいと思います。

短期間の英会話レッスン受講も可能！忙しい方にもおすすめの回数制レッスン始まります at English Plus

Good morning! and I appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to announce a new ticket system at our English school.
At our English school, we recommend our students take a lesson regularly, at least once a week, in order to improve their English skills.
However, some of our students can hardly manage to take a lesson even once a week regularly.
So, to help those students, we're going to start a ticket system.
With the ticket system, students can take 12 lessons within 6 months.
The good points of this ticket system are...
1. busy people can take lessons when they have time! (*the seats are limited so please reserve your seat as soon as possible)
2. even if they have a short term to learn English, they can take lessons every day!
For more information about the new ticket system, do not hesitate to ask us!

本日は“短期間の英会話レッスン受講も可能！忙しい方にもおすすめの回数制レッスン始まります at English Plus”についてです。

English Plusの英語学校では生徒の方には“英語力向上のため”に少なくとも週１回の定期的なレッスン受講をおすすめしています。

英語学校では週１回～毎日のレッスン受講が可能ですが、今通ってくださっている生徒様の中には“忙しくて週１回定期的に通うのが大変”という方もいらっしゃいます。

このような状況もあり、現在の定期的なレッスンに加え、回数制レッスンを始めることになりました。

回数制レッスンでは、６か月間で１２回のレッスンを受講していただくことになります。

なお、回数制レッスンの良い点としましては…

１. 時間がある時にレッスンが受講可能！（＊但し、席に限りがありますのでレッスンの予約は出来る限りお早めにお願い致します）

２. １週間しか時間がない等、期間が短くても毎日レッスンの受講が可能！

回数制レッスンに関して、ご質問等ございましたらお気軽にお問い合わせください。

様々な味を表現する時の英語

Good morning and thank you very much for visiting English Plus blog!
Today, let's learn some English to describe taste.
The other day, I overheard a conversation between a customer, who came to English Plus cafe, and a staff member.
Their conversation topic was how to describe taste of other countries' food in English.
They seemed to struggle a little bit to describe the taste in English but they were trying hard!
So today let's learn how to describe taste!
For example, "The drink I tried there was..."
・strong
・bland
・rich
・refreshing
・light taste
Also, you can use these words with "The food I tried there was..."
・spicy
・salty-sweet
・salty
・flat
When you have a chance to describe the taste, try to use some!

本日は“様々な味を表現する時の英語”についてです。

先日、カフェのお客様とスタッフが英語で何か話をしているのをちらっと耳にしました。

会話のトピックは、外国の料理や味についての表現についてのようでした。

日本語だと簡単に出てくる“さっぱりした味”などを英語で表現するのが難しかったようでしたが、がんばって英語でコミュニケーションを図っていました！

そんな今日は“さっぱりした味”や様々な味の表現を紹介していきたいと思います。

例えば、"The drink I tried there was..."（そこの場所で飲んでみた物は…）

・strong （濃い）

・bland （薄い）

・rich （こってり）

・refreshing （さっぱり）

・light taste （あっさり）

またこの他にも味を表現する英語として "The food I tried there was..."（そこの場所で食べた物は…）

・spicy （辛い）

・salty-sweet （甘辛い）

・salty （しょっぱい）

・flat （味気ない）

英語で味を表現する時のために、少しずつ語彙を増やしていきましょう！

英語学校でのキッズレッスン土曜日開講のお知らせ

Today, I'd like to announce a new schedule at English Plus school.
From October 1st, we're going to change our time schedule.
One big change is our 30-min kids lesson is held from 3pm on Saturdays.
In the 30-min lesson, kids can enjoy learning English through a lot of fun games!
In addition to Saturdays, currently our kids lesson is held on Tuesdays.
