Good morning and I really appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.
Today, I'd like to write about English Plus' latest activity about infection prevention.
As of today, we can see and hear a lot of news reports about Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Actually, on March 11th 2020, The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic, and Japanese government declared the state of emergency about COVID-19 on April 8th 2020.
Though the state of emergency was lifted on May 25th, the number of infected patients has been increasing again since then.
In an effort to prevent and minimize the spread of any infectious disease including COVID-19, English Plus has made "infection prevention policy."
For instance,
1. The staff wash hands regularly
2. The staff try to stay healthy, but when their condition is not good, they stay at home
3. The staff wear face masks as a precautionary measure when necessary
4. The staff and students use hand sanitizer when necessary, especially before getting any beverages
5. Disinfectants are regularly used during cleaning, especially in locations frequented by large numbers of people, such as desks, chairs, and so on.
6. The staff ventilates the facility regularly
7. During the lessons, we try to keep distance
and so on.
In addition to prevent the spread of infectious disease, we have got "Tokyo's Kansen-Boshi Tettei Sengen Sticker" (A sticker by Tokyo Metropolitan Government to prove that the shop prevents the spread of infection.)
In order to prevent the spread any infectious disease to protect our students and staff, we'll do what we should do to make a safe environment to study English from now on too.
