本日は“English Plusのレッスンの復習 ～ 自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力をつけていこう ～ 2018年4月第1週の英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力の大事な中の１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、４月第１週のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。

1. I study English before go to bed.

スムーズかつ自然に正しい英文ができるように基礎英語力アップのために、学んだ後は音読トレーニング等の復習・トレーニングを重ねましょう。

At English Plus, we encourage our students to try to speak English a lot especially during lessons.

本日は“English Plus ２０１８年５月のEnglish Only Weekのお知らせ（日本語編）”です。

来週の火曜日～土曜日（５月２９日～６月２日）の間、英語学校ではEnglish Only Weekとなり、日本語が一切禁止となります。

この１週間、英語学校では“完全英語のみ”になり、日本語を話した場合、ペナルティーがあります。

English Only Weekを来週に控えた今日は、来週のEnglish Only Weekに使える英語表現を学習したいと思います。

・もう少しゆっくり言っていただけますか？ ＝ Could you speak a little more slowly?

・もう一度繰り返していただけますか？ ＝ Could you repeat that?

From next Tuesday to Saturday, May 29th - Jun 2nd, we're holding an "English Only Week" at our English school.
During this whole week, all of our students must speak only English at our school area.
If they speak Japanese, there is a special penalty waiting for them.

本日は“小学生の時から知っておきたい英語 ～ 文房具に関する英語（日本語編）”です。

English Plusでは主に「大人の方を対象とした英語レッスン」を行っていますが、昨年の秋から「小学校３年生以上を対象としたレッスン」も開講しています。

このキッズレッスンを通しての目的は「中学生・高校生・大人になっても実際に使える基礎英語力を今から身につけていく」ことです。

基礎英語力を身につけていくためにEnglish Plusのキッズレッスンは、「Phonics（フォニックス）」や「基礎英語（読み・書きを含む）」の学習を通して、楽しみながらも着実に英語力を習得していけるようなレッスンになっています。（Phonicsとは発音と文字のパターンを学び、英語の読み方を習得する学習方法のことです。）

Phonicsを習得することで、初めて目にする単語でも音読をすることが可能になりますし、名詞や動詞等の語彙を増やしたり、小学生からの英文法習得の上でもPhonicsを習得することはとても役に立つと思います。

Phonicsのレッスンを通して、具体的には「単語」を覚えることはもちろん、学んだ単語を正しく「発音」でき、また「文章で読む」ことができる英語力の育成をまずは目指しています。

その上で、中学生・高校生になっても英語の授業に無理なくついていける基礎英語力習得のために、読み・書き、文法の学習を含む基礎英語のレッスンも行っていきます。

徐々に英語力を上げていただきながら、最終的には「覚えた単語を使って自分で文章を作ることのできる基礎英語力の育成」および「英語を使ってのコミュニケーション」をEnglish Plusでは目指しています。

今日はEnglish Plusのキッズレッスンの中でも出てくる、小学生の時に学んでおきたい「文房具に関する英語」を学んでいきたいと思います。

様々な文房具がありますが、例えば…

1. pencil（鉛筆）

2. colored pencil（色鉛筆）

3. pencil sharpener（鉛筆削り）

4. eraser（消しゴム）

5. pencil case（筆箱）

まずは上記の英単語のアルファベットを見て、しっかりと声に出して読めるようになりましょう。

また「Can I use your...?」（あなたの…を使ってもいいですか？）と文章の中でも使えるように何度か声に出すトレーニングをしてみましょう。

English Plusではフォニックスのレッスンを通して、無理なく英語の文字と音が一致できるようにしていきます。

なお、English Plusのキッズ英語レッスン担当は１０年以上のティーチング経験のあるHaruka先生です。

Haruka先生は特にPhonicsのティーチングが素晴らしく、とてもパワフルで明るい先生ですのできっと子供たちも楽しみながら基本的な英語を習得していけると思います。

現在、キッズレッスンは毎週火曜日・金曜日の開講となっています。

１クラス４名までの少人数制となっている関係上、先着順でのお申込になりますので満席になり次第、次の席が空くまでお待ちいただくことになります。

Today, I'd like to write about our kids lesson at English Plus.
English Plus is mainly an English school for adults. However, thanks to some requests, we started a new course for kids last autumn.
The new course is "Phonics + Basic English skills for kids", and it's for over 9 years old (more than elementary school grade 3).
The purpose of this kids course is that "we would like our students to master some basic English skills which can be useful and practical when they become adults."
In order to get our students to master some basic English skills, we offer some fun English lessons.
One of them is "phonics lessons."
Through the phonics lessons, our students learn some basic vocabulary, and can pronounce the words correctly and read English sentences naturally.
Mastering phonics could be very beneficial since it'll be possible to read out loud the vocabulary that they see for the first time, and they can increase vocabulary a little more easily, and phonics can be useful when they learn grammar.
The other is "basic English lessons."
After mastering basic phonics patterns, our students try to read books.
Through reading books together, we teach vocabulary, grammar, how to read and comprehend English.
The final goal we're hoping for our students is that we'd like our students to make original English sentences by themselves, and they can communicate smoothly in the future.
In the lesson, our students learn a lot of vocabulary, and today let's learn some basic vocabulary about "stationery."
For instance...
1. notebook（ノート）
2. mechanical pencil（シャーペン）
3. glue（のり）
4. scissors（はさみ）
5. ruler（定規）
The first step for kids to master English is to read the vocabulary out loud correctly when they see the alphabet.
After they can pronounce the vocabulary correctly, let's use the vocabulary in a sentence, such as "Can I use your...?"（あなたの…を使ってもいいですか？）
In our lessons, our students enjoy learning and using English since our kids instructor is Haruka, who has had over a decade career as an English instructor, and not only the career but her character is cheerful.
I'm sure kids will enjoy learning English with her.
Currently our kids lessons are on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The maximum number of the students in each lesson is 4. Therefore, when we have 4 students in a class, we'll stop accepting new students without notice.

本日は“英語初級者のための１から学ぶ基礎英語トレーニング ～ 英語の主語＋Do動詞のトレーニング（日本語編）”です。

English Plus（英語学校）では、基礎から英語を学んでいく「Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）コース」をレベル別に開講中です。

このコースでは“レッスン受講生の方々が基礎的な英語力を身につけ、自信を持ってコミュニケーションが図れる”ことを大きな目標にしています。

そのためSkill-Up Conversationレッスンの中では、英語コミュニケーションに必要な「基本的な語彙、文法、表現、発音等」を中心に学び、使う練習を繰り返すことで、基礎英語力を徐々に身につけていきます。

英語コミュニケーションに必要な様々な基本事項を学んでいくSkill-Up Conversationコースですが、基本的な事の１つに“主語＋動詞”があります。

今日はSkill-Up Conversationレッスンの中から“基礎英語のトレーニング”と題し、英語の学習をしていきたいと思います。

まずは、次の文章を音読してみましょう。

Today, let's learn and practice some basic English.
There are a wide variety of lessons available at English Plus, and one of them is "Skill-Up Conversation".
This Skill-Up Conversation has 6 different levels, and students can learn and practice basic English vocabulary, grammar, expressions, and pronunciation for English communication.
The aim of Skill-Up Conversation course is that students master some basic English skills, and gain confidence to communicate in English.
In order to do so, through the lessons, students learn fundamental vocabulary, grammar points, and so on, and after that they have enough time to practice using what they learn during lessons.
It might take some time to master basic English skills; however, we try to support our students by offering lessons and self-study support.
If they take lessons regularly and do self-study in their free time, they can improve English skills a lot faster than we expect.
Anyway, through this Skill-Up Conversation course, our students learn a lot of basic English, and one of the most important tips is "subject-verb agreement."
We understand that beginner English learners have difficulty changing subject and verb correctly and smoothly, so today, let's practice especially subject-Do-verb agreement.
Now, let's practice the point.
First, please read this sentence:

Now, change the sentence with the following words.

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“英語講師が考えるリスニング力アップの５つのコツ ～ １．リスニング学習を習慣化しよう（日本語編）”です。

英語でのコミュニケーションと言うと、様々な状況を思い浮かべることが可能かと思います。

想像できるコミュニケーションの状況は色々とあると思いますが、コミュニケーションに必要なスキルの１つに「聞く」ことが挙げられます。

相手が何を言っているのか聞き取った上で理解できないと、コミュニケーションを取ることはなかなか難しいのですが、英語でコミュニケーションを取りたい！と思う人にとって、この「聞く力」を鍛えることが最初に取り組むべきポイントです。

今日はコミュニケーションに必須の「聞く力」すなわちリスニング力アップのための５つのコツの内、１つについて書いていきたいと思います。

１つめのコツは「リスニング学習を習慣化しよう」ということです。

具体的には、一日夕食後１５分など、時間を決めて習慣的に英語を聞きましょう。

あまりに長い時間、英語を聞き続けているとストレスが溜まることや、ずっと集中が続かないこともありますので、毎日１５分など時間を決めて習慣的に聞きましょう。

時間をかけて少しずつ、練習を重ねていくことに意義があります。

なお、聞く教材はお手持ちのTOEICの教材等を活用するとよいと思います。

毎日実行することで着実に「基礎英語力」になっていきます。

忙しい日もあると思いますが、がんばって英語学習を習慣化していきましょう。
