English Plus明日１０月１日でオープン６年の報告（英語編）

Good morning and I really appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to write about English Plus' six year anniversary.
English Plus opened its doors in Shibaura, Tamachi, Tokyo six years ago, October 1st, 2011.
Since then, thanks to a lot of people's support, English Plus will turn six years old tomorrow.
We truly appreciate those who support us from the bottom of our heart.
Especially, our special thanks are for our students, friends, some people whom we can't see directly but support us indirectly, and family.
Thanks to each and every one one of you.
A lot of things have happened these 6 years, and recently, we've moved to our current location for the first time in our history.
It caused some trouble for our students. (We're really sorry for the inconvenience.)
Even so, most of our students continue studying English with us, which makes us feel we can't thank them enough.
In order not to lose our students' interest in English, we'll continue doing our best to support their English skills.
We'll offer more fun activities, friendly environment to study English, practical lessons, and a lot more from now on too.
We really appreciate every one of you!

２０１７年ハロウィーンに向けてEnglish Plusをデコレーションしました（英語編）

Halloween, October 31st, is about a month away, and we're decorating the inside of English Plus.
It's still in the middle of decoration, but because of the decoration, English Plus' atmosphere is more like Halloween now.

実践的な基礎英語力を着実につけていく「基礎英会話レッスン」１０月３日から秋学期スタートのお知らせ（日本語編）

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“実践的な基礎英語力を着実につけていく「基礎英会話レッスン」１０月３日から秋学期スタートのお知らせ（日本語編）”です。

English Plusのある東京・田町もかなり涼しくなってきており「秋」間近という感じですが、涼しくなってきたこの秋の季節は、何か学び事を始めるのに最適な時期だと思います。

English Plusでは「初級者の方でも基礎から英語を学べる」“Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話コース）”が来週１０月３日の週より秋学期第１週が開始となります。

Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）コースは１レベルにつき６か月の期間で構成されていますが、第１週のレッスンから受講したいという方は、この時期のスタートがおすすめです。

基礎英会話コースでは、英語コミュニケーションに必要な「語彙、文法、リスニング」を学び、自分から積極的にコミュニケーションが取れる基礎英語力を固めていくコースになっています。

なお、基礎英会話コースは「初級～中上級レベル」のレベル別で構成しておりますので、開講の曜日・時間はお問合せください。

またSkill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）コースだけでなく、Power-Up Conversation（応用英会話）、TOEIC（TOEICテスト対策）の各コースも併せて開講しております。

各コースの特徴としましては…

・Power-Up Conversation（応用英会話）コース…様々なトピックに関して表現等を学び、自分の言いたいことが言えたり、コミュニケーションを通して会話の力を重点的に伸ばしていくコース

・TOEICテスト対策コース…TOEICテストのスコアだけではなくビジネスでも応用できる英語力を養っていくコース

実践的な基礎英語力を着実につけていく「基礎英会話レッスン」１０月３日から秋学期スタートのお知らせ（英語編）

Good morning and thank you very much for visiting English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to announce English Plus' new lesson schedule this autumn.
It's getting cooler and cooler in Tamachi, Tokyo, which makes us feel autumn is just around the corner.
In my personal opinion, autumn is a good time to start learning something new.
At English Plus, Skill-Up Conversation lessons start Week 1 from the week of October 3rd.
"Skill-Up Conversation" course is composed of 6 months, and the very first lesson starts on the week of October 3rd.
If you are interested in learning basic English, this is the best time to get started!
Skill-Up Conversation lesson is good for those who would like to learn and practice basic communicative English skills since in the lesson, we can learn basic grammar, vocabulary for basic communication.
There are six different levels available from beginner to upper intermediate, so there are some suitable levels for each student.
The day and time depends on a level, so if you are into Skill-Up Conversation lessons, please ask us for more details.
Actually, not only "Skill-Up Conversation" course but also "Power-Up Conversation" and "TOEIC" courses are available and welcome to join!
The features of each course are...
・"Power-Up Conversation" course is focusing on improving speaking skills. (Especially vocabulary, expressions and fluency)
・"TOEIC test preparation" course is focusing on improving not only TOEIC score but also practical English skills for business.

Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）レッスンで2017年9月の英語力チェックテスト実施しました（日本語編）

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）レッスンで2017年9月の英語力チェックテスト実施しました（日本語編）”です。

English Plus（英語スクール）では様々なコースをご用意していますが「基礎から英語を学習したい」という方には“Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）”コースをおすすめしています。

Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）レッスンはEnglish Plusの中でも、４つのスキル（聞く・話す・読む・書く）をバランスよく基礎から鍛えるという観点からレッスンを行っています。

レッスンの中では、自由自在に英語でコミュニケーションを図るための基礎となる部分、特に「語彙・文法・リスニング」を中心に学び、コミュニケーション（特に聞く・話す）のための練習をしていきます。

１レッスンは９０分で、各レッスンで取り上げた文法等を中心に、４つのスキル（聞く・話す・読む・書く）を使って英語コミュニケーションの基礎力を鍛えます。

英語が久々の方や初級者の方も安心してご受講いただける初級のレベル等いくつかのレベルがありますが、各レベル修了後には今までの知識がしっかりと習得できているかどうか、また学んだ知識が使えるかどうか定期的（６か月毎）に総合的な英語力をチェックするためのレベルチェックテストを行います。

テストでも「聞く・話す・読む・書く」という４つのスキルをチェックしていきますが、先週、Skill-Up Conversationレッスン受講生を対象にこのテストを行いました。

ペーパーテストおよびスピーキングテストの採点も終了しましたが、English Plusではこのテストの結果により、今後伸ばしていった方が良い点、復習しておいたほうが良い点、学習方法等、個別の英語学習に関する相談・アドバイスをしていきます。

また、スピーキング・リスニングの伸びも点数化して出しているので、英語コミュニケーションのための能力（スピーキング・リスニング）の伸びもしっかりとチェックしています。

今後も定期的にテストを行い、真剣に受講生の英語力の伸びをチェックしていきたいと思います。

なお、１０月３日の週から「基礎英会話」の秋開始のレッスンがスタートします。

Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）レッスンで2017年9月の英語力チェックテスト実施しました（英語編）

Good morning and thank you so much for visiting English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to write about Skill-Up Conversation course's level check exam in September.
At English Plus, there are several English courses available, and one of them is "Skill-Up Conversation" course, which is good for those who would like to learn basic English and communicate in English with confidence.
In this course, students learn and practice some basic grammar and vocabulary to communicate more smoothly in English.
Each Skill-Up Conversation lesson is 90-minute and is focusing on 4 skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), so there is enough time to learn and practice English.
There are several different levels available and after completing each level, students need to take a level check exam.
The test consists of four skills - reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
The aim of this test is to check how well students understand and can use English.
We just finished this level check test last week.
From this week, we'll give each student feedback of the test.
We give each student some advice on what kind of study they should try from now in order to improve their English skills more effectively.
We'll continue checking our students' English skills regularly and helping their improvement constantly.

English Plus ２０１７年９月のEnglish Only Weekのお知らせ（日本語編）

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“English Plus ２０１７年９月のEnglish Only Weekのお知らせ（日本語編）”です。

来週の火曜日～土曜日（９月２６日～３０日）の間、英語学校ではEnglish Only Weekとなり、日本語が一切禁止となります。

この１週間、英語学校では“完全英語のみ”になり、日本語を話した場合、ペナルティーがあります。

English Only Weekを来週に控えた今日は、来週のEnglish Only Weekに使える英語表現を学習したいと思います。

・ え～と ＝ Let me see.

・「…」のスペルはどうやって書きますか？ ＝ How do you spell "..."?

レッスン受講生は完全に英語のみでがんばりましょう。

English Plus ２０１７年９月のEnglish Only Weekのお知らせ（英語編）

Good morning and I thank you for your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, let's practice some English phrases for English only week at English Plus.
From next Tuesday to Saturday, September 26th - Sep 30th, we're holding an "English Only Week" at our English school.
During this whole week, all of our students must speak only English at our school area.
If they speak Japanese, there is a special penalty waiting for them.
Today I'd like to introduce some English phrases that might be useful during English Only Week.

小学校３年生以上対象の「基礎英語力」を身につけていく「Phonics＋基礎英語（英検）クラス」開講のお知らせ（日本語編）

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“小学校３年生以上対象の「基礎英語力」を身につけていく「Phonics＋基礎英語（英検）クラス」開講のお知らせ（日本語編）”です。

English Plusは基本、大人の方を対象にレッスンを行っていますが、現在は要望があった場合に限り、小学校３年生以上の生徒さんもプライベートにてレッスンを行っています。

この度、小学生からのレッスンのお問合せが内外から多くなってきたこともあり、English Plusで本格的に「小学校３年生以上を対象としたレッスン」を開講することになりました。

この新しいレッスンを通しての目的は「中学生・高校生・大人になっても実際に使える英語力のための基礎を今から身につけていく」ことです。

具体的には「単語」を覚えることはもちろん、学んだ単語を正しく「発音」でき、また「文章で読む」ことができる。

究極的には「覚えた単語を使って自分で文章を作ることのできる基礎英語力の育成」および「英語を使ってのコミュニケーション」を目指しています。

レッスンの内容は「基礎英語力」を身につけていくために「Phonics」を中心に「基礎英語（英検）」にも通じる英語力を身につけていくためのカリキュラムにする予定です。（Phonicsとは発音と文字のパターンを学び、英語の読み方を習得する学習方法のことです。）

講師は長年キッズのティーチング経験のあるHaruka先生が務めさせていただく予定です。Haruka先生は特にPhonicsのティーチングが素晴らしく、とてもパワフルで明るい先生ですのできっと子供たちも楽しみながら基礎的な英語を習得していけると思います。

まずPhonicsを習得することで、初めて目にする単語でも音読をすることが可能になりますし、名詞や動詞等の語彙を増やしたり、小学生からの英文法習得の上でもPhonicsを習得することはとても役に立つと思います。

現在、レッスンの骨格となるカリキュラムを作成中ですが、可能な限り早くスタートしたいと思っております。

小学校３年生以上対象の「基礎英語力」を身につけていく「Phonics＋基礎英語（英検）クラス」開講のお知らせ（英語編）

Good morning and thank you very much for taking time to read English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to introduce our new course at English Plus.
The new course is "Phonics + Basic English skills for Eiken", and for over 9 years old (more than elementary school grade 3).
Currently, we are mainly teaching English for adults (usually over 18 years old), but with some requests, we teach kids over 9 years old.
Since we've received some requests and inquiry about kids lessons, we've decided to start a group lesson for over 9 years old.
The purpose of this lesson is that "we would like the students to master some basic English skills which can be used practically when they become adults."
To be more precise, through the lessons, our students learn some basic vocabulary, and pronounce the words they've learned correctly, and read English sentences.
The final goal we're thinking about is that we'd like our students to make original English sentences by themselves, and they can communicate smoothly.
The contents of the lessons we're planning are our students can learn "Phonics" and "Basic English skills (Vocabulary, Grammar)."
A very reliable and experienced instructor, whose name is Haruka, is mainly going to teach the lessons.
In my personal opinion, her career about teaching kids is great.
She has long experience teaching phonics and English; in addition, she is very cheerful, so I'm sure kids will enjoy learning English from her.
For small learners, mastering phonics can be very beneficial since it'll be possible to read out loud the vocabulary that they see for the first time, and they can increase vocabulary a little more easily, and phonics can be useful when they learn grammar.
Currently, we're making the curriculum, and trying to start the lesson as soon as possible.
