Today, I'd like to announce class schedule change at English Plus school.
Since we started English Plus, our class schedule hasn't changed much.
However, this time upon some students' requests, we've decided to change the morning lesson schedule.
From next Monday, May 21st, 45-min conversation lessons on weekdays start at 7:35 and finish at 8:20.
90-min lessons' schedule is the same.
Learning English in the morning is great, so why don't you try?

本日は“朝のレッスン時間変更のお知らせ”です。

英語学校のレッスンのスケジュールは昨年オープンして以来、あまり変更をしてこなかったのですが、この度いろいろとご意見をお聞きし、朝のレッスン時間の見直し・変更をすることにしました。

変更点は来週の月曜日（５月２１日～）より、平日の“朝の４５分の英会話レッスン”が７時３５分開始、８時２０分終了となる点です。

なお９０分レッスンレッスンのスケジュールは従来通り７時１０分～８時４０分となります。

朝の英語学習は効果的ですので、一度試す価値ありです！

Today, I'd like to announce a new lesson schedule starting from this week.
From yesterday (April 16th) a new lesson schedule started at our English school!
In addition to our regular class schedule, a new time period from 9:30 to 10:15 has been added!
Now, 45-min conversation lessons are available at 9:30 to 10:15 on weekdays!

英語学校では、昨日（４月１６日）より新しいレッスンスケジュールが始まりました。

今までのレッスンスケジュールに、新しく９：３０～１０：１５の時間帯のレッスンが加わりました！

この９：３０～１０：１５の時間帯のレッスンでは平日、月曜日～金曜日まで毎日“４５分の英会話レッスン”をしています。（平日毎日御受講いただくことも可能です！）

Good morning and I really appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to write about our challenge in March.
Last Sunday was the day when there was the official TOEIC test.
I wondered how well some of my students, who took the test, could do it.
Speaking of the TOEIC test, some of the staff members at English Plus and I decided to take the TOEIC test in March, and we applied for it!
Since a lot of our students have been doing great at TOEIC, we were inspired to take it!
There is only one and a half months left so we will do our best to prepare for it!!

本日は“English Plusスタッフと一緒に３月のTOEIC公開テストに挑戦！”です。

先週の日曜日はTOEIC公開テストの日でした。

英語講師としては、先週の日曜日に受験した自分の生徒の方たちの結果が気になっているところです。

TOEICテストと言えば、次回の３月１８日のTOEIC公開テストにEnglish Plusのスタッフと一緒に受験することにしました！

English Plusの生徒の方たちがしっかりと頑張っている姿を見ていて、今回スタッフが一斉に受験することとなりました。

テストまで残り１ヶ月半。生徒の方たちのがんばりに負けないように、しっかりと準備したいと思います！！

Good morning and I appreciate your visiting to this English Plus blog!
Today, I’d like to write about a story after kids lesson last Sunday.
Last Sunday was the day when I taught kids some English at Maruzen/Junkudo bookstore in Shibuya. (Thank you for all those who joined us!!)
After the lesson, I went to a cafe near the bookstore with my friends, who helped me with the kids lesson.
The cafe is famous for its original cake, which is close to chiffon cake.
I ordered a piece for myself and it was big and delicious.
It was worth going because the interior of the cafe was good.
Also I was able to learn something new for English Plus cafe!
In the near future, hopefully we at English Plus cafe can create more original and also delicious sweets by ourselves!!

本日は“キッズ英語レッスンの後の話（他のカフェへ勉強会の巻）”です。

先週の日曜日は渋谷の丸善・ジュンク堂書店さんでのキッズレッスンの日でした。
（お越しいただいた皆様ありがとうございました！！）

レッスンが終わった後、キッズレッスンをお手伝いしてくれた関係者の皆で、丸善・ジュンク堂書店さんの近くにあるカフェへ勉強も兼ねて行ってきました。

そのカフェはオリジナルの（シフォンのような感じの）ケーキが有名なカフェで、勉強のためにその有名なケーキを食べてみましたが、とてもボリュームがありおいしかったです。

カフェの内装を見るだけでも参考になりましたが、今後のEnglish Plusカフェに活かせるようなアイディアがいろいろと浮かんできましたので、行くことができとても良かったです！

近い将来English Plusカフェでも、もっとオリジナル、かつ、おいしいスイーツが提供できるように努力していきたいと思います！

Happy new year!!
How are you enjoying this winter holiday?
Today’s a new year’s day, so let’s try to make up your mind to challenge something new!
Making up your mind to challenge something new for a new year is called “New year’s resolution.”
Some of you might decide to try something every year, and in my opinion, challenging something every year is really great!
If your challenge lasts long time, which is greater!!
As for me, my new year’s resolution is to “get a better TOEIC score” and “help my students to improve their English skills.”

本日は“新年の抱負を英語で言ってみよう！”です。

今日は元旦ということもあり、何か新しいことに挑戦することを決意する“新年の抱負”を決めるのに最適な日です。

ちなみにこの新年の抱負のことを英語では “New year’s resolution”と言います。

ブログをお読みいただいている方の中に、毎年新年の抱負を決めている方もいらっしゃると思いますが、とても素晴らしいことだと思います！

またその新年の抱負を実行して続けられると、もっと素晴らしい！！と思います。

自分に関して言えば、今年は“自分のTOEICスコア向上”と“生徒の方々の英語力アップ・使える英語力の習得をサポートができるようより良いレッスンの提供”をしていきたいと思います。

Good morning and thank you very much for your time to read this English Plus' blog!
Today, I'd like to write about a new challenge at English Plus' cafe.
Since English Plus started on Oct 1st, it's already passed over a month.
Just little by little, English Plus has been known by people around here.
However, just over a month passed and not so many people know what we're doing here at especially English Plus cafe.
So, the staff members and I talked about what to do for the English Plus cafe.
There were some ideas and we finally decided to start serving lunch, which should be yummy & healthy!
We can serve lunch at English Plus' cafe but we realized that because the capacity at English Plus' cafe is limited and the lunch is hand-made, we can't serve so many meals.
It means that I guess we can serve only about 10 meals a day when we start serving lunch.
At the moment, we're trying to make some lunch menu!
When we're ready to serve lunch, I'll let you know on this blog and on the web!!

本日は“英語環境カフェの新しい試み - ランチメニュー試作中”についてです。

１０月１日にオープンしたEnglish Plusも１ヶ月と少しが過ぎました。

少しずつですが、ありがたいことにご近所の方々やお勤めの方々にも知られるようになってきました。

が、まだまだ・・・という点もあるので、もっとEnglish Plusを知ってもらうための方法をスタッフと一緒に考えました。

英語学校ではなく、English Plusのカフェでできること、ということでランチの提供はどうか？という話になり、昨日からスタッフが一生懸命に“おいしく・ヘルシーなランチ”をモットーに試作を作っています！

“手作りなので数多く提供ができない”という点と“リラックスできるというコンセプトのEnglish Plusカフェの席数”を考えますと、毎日１０食程度の限定・日替わりランチの提供になるかと思いますが、できることから１つずつ前向きに取り組んでいきたいと思います！

ランチ提供が可能になり次第、またブログやホームページでお知らせしたいと思います。

Today's topic is about yesterday's event of "taking a business consultation in Kawasaki."
Yesterday, I had a business consultation with Mr. Koji Takeuchi, who is a small and medium enterprise management consultant.
The main subject I had a consultation about was about “how to launch my business successfully.”
Mainly, I got advice about how to make more attractive homepage, and some financial advice on my business plan.
After I took Mr. Takeuchi's consultation, I was able to see more possibilities!!
Based on his advice I got yesterday, I will challenge some things new!!
P.S. I really appreciate people who give me great energy & strong support as always!!

本日は“英語学校創業へ向けた川崎でのコンサルティング”です。

昨日、川崎で中小企業診断士の竹内幸次先生によるコンサルティングを受けてきました。

今回のコンサルティングでは特に“成功する創業に向けて”のアドバイスをたくさんいただくことができました。

例えば、ホームページのアクセス数アップに関するアドバイスや、ビジネスプランにおいての数値に関するアドバイスはとても参考になりました！

コンサルティングを受講した後、“自分の英語学校の可能性に希望が持てる”有意義なコンサルティングの時間となりました。
ありがとうございました。

昨日いただいたアドバイスを基に、いろいろと新しいことに挑戦していきたいと思います！！

Hi, good morning, and thank you for checking out my blog!!
At this time of a year in Japan, one Chinese character that represents the year is announced.
This years's Chinese character was "暑" that means "hot".
(FYI: Last year's one was "新" that means "new")


Now it's winter, and I tend to forget how hot this summer was, however, when I saw this Chinese character "暑", it just reminded me the hot summer!!
Anyway, today, I'd like to choose an English vocabulary word that represents my 2010!!
The word I'd like to choose for myself is...

"challenge"

It's because...
"I started this blog."
"It was my first time to attend some business seminars and I was able to learn something very important to launch my own English school."
"I started to teach elementary school student", and so on.
I personally think "challenge" really represents my 2010 as an English vocabulary word, and I'm glad to choose it.
What vocabulary word would you personally choose?

本日は“あなたの今年１年を英単語１つで表すと？”です。

この時期になりますと、日本では“今年の漢字”が発表されます。

今年の漢字は“暑”でした。（ちなみに昨年の漢字は“新”でした）
とても暑い夏だったことや、暑い出来事がたくさんありましたので、今年の漢字“暑”には納得です。

“漢字一字”で今年を表すことができるなら、“英単語一つ”で表すことも可能と考え、英語講師として自分の２０１０年を表す一字を選びました。

その英単語が "challenge" （挑戦）です。

理由はいろいろとありますが、主に・・・
“ブログを始めたこと”
“起業セミナーに参加し、英語学校起業に関していろいろと学べたこと”
“小学生を教え始めたこと”などです。

今年ほど "challenge" という英単語が、自分を表現する年は今までにありませんでしたので、いろいろなことに "challenge" ができたという点では、個人的にとても良い年だったと思います！！
