レッスンから学ぶ英語表現 ～ ペーパードライバーを英語で言ってみると

Good morning and thank you very much for your time to stop by English Plus blog!
Today, let's learn some English phrases!
In one of our English lessons here at English Plus, some students were talking about driving.
During the conversation, I heard "I'm a paper driver."
Actually, "paper driver" is not used in English.
So, today let's learn how to say "paper driver" in English.
Instead, you can say...
"I have a driver's license, but I never drive."
"I've got a driver's license, but I don't drive."
"I have a driver's license, but I have little driving experience."
When you want to tell you're a "paper driver", try to use these.

本日は“レッスンから学ぶ英語表現 ～ ペーパードライバーを英語で言ってみると”です。

先日の英語学校でのレッスン時に、生徒の方々が“ドライブ”についての会話をしていました。

ドライブの会話の中で、“私はペーパードライバーです。(I'm a paper driver.)"と言っていたのが聞こえましたが、このペーパードライバーは和製英語で、英語圏では使われていません。

今日はこの“ペーパードライバー”の英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

例えば…

"I have a driver's license, but I never drive."

"I've got a driver's license, but I don't drive."

"I have a driver's license, but I have little driving experience."

上記の英語の訳は基本的に“運転免許は持っていますが、運転しません”（＝ペーパードライバー）というような意味になります。

英語でペーパードライバーと言いたい時には、上記のような表現を使いましょう。

Today, let’s learn some English phrases which can be used in daily and business situations.
In our daily and business situations, we often tell a story or give a presentation.
Our stories could be funny, amusing, surpring, sad and our presentation could be in business, academic situations and so on.
To make a story or a presentation more understandable, we can use something called "sequence."
Today, let's learn some of the sequences.

本日は“ビジネスや日常の会話でも使えるプレゼンや物語を話す時に使える順序の英語表現”です。

日常の会話でもビジネス上での会話でも、ストーリー性のある話、もしくは順序を組み立てて話しをする機会があると思います。

ストーリーは面白い物や興味深い物、驚く物、悲しい物、またビジネスや学校でのプレゼンにおいても順序を組み立てて話をする必要があると思いますが、話をもっとわかりやすく伝えるために使う英語のテクニックとして“順序の表現”があります。

今日は“順序の英語表現”を学んでいきたいと思います。

例えば、“始めに、次に（２番目に）、最後に”という順序で話したい場合…

・First,... Second,... And finally,...

・First,... Then,... Finally,...

・Firstly,... Secondly,... Finally,...

・First of all,... Next,... Lastly,...

本日は“６月も実際のレッスンに参加して英語を学べる体験レッスン英語学校で実施中”です。

English Plusの英語学校では随時、体験レッスンを実施中です。

English Plusの体験レッスンのユニークな点としましては、体験レッスンでも普通の生徒の方と同様に、通常のレッスン（９０分もしくは４５分）にお入りいただける点です。
