まだ駆け出しのクラシックコンサートファンである私ですが、ウラディーミル・フェドセーエフのことを全く知らなかったので、きのうのNHK交響楽団の第1861回定期公演Cプログラム、”ロシアン・ナイト”は、非常に芳醇で贅沢な時間を過ごすことができました。フェドセーエフは大変な大ベテランでしたが、新進気鋭の指揮者のように、野心あふれ、エネルギッシュな演奏で、私たちを魅了しました。また、N響もやはりヨーロッパ・ツアーを経て、確実に世界的オーケストラへの道を歩んでおり、勇壮なグリンカ、ボロディン、チャイコフスキーという作曲家たちの魅力を最大限発揮して、スラブの風を運んできてくれました。
特に魅力的だったのは、ボロディンの交響曲第2番ロ短調で、私はこれを全く初めて聴きましたが、実にロマンあふれる大作でした。ボロディンが苦心して作り上げただけあって、みごとな曲想で大胆な展開に驚きました。演奏の機会がこれを機に増えるといいですし、ちょっと譬えとして適切かどうかわかりませんが、「千と千尋の神隠し」のラストの音楽に匹敵するダイナミックかつ豪奢な音楽で素晴らしかったです。こと第3楽章のハープからの導入、第4楽章へ続けて演奏される展開は圧倒的で、息をのむようでした。激しい滝を流れるかのような流麗さにただただ惹かれました。ともあれ、今回の白眉ともいうべき、ボロディンの交響曲第2番でした。
また、やはりN響の圧倒的な演奏力が発揮されるのは、チャイコフスキーの交響曲第4番で、こちらも私は全く初めて聴きましたが、弦楽器（篠崎史紀以下の陣容がすばらしい超絶技巧を聴かせてくれます）が見事ですし、管楽器もよく期待に応えました。こちらも大変豪壮華麗な音楽で、ロシア音楽のひとつの頂点ともいうべきものであり、日本でも、もっと人気の出る曲として、浸透することを祈っています。特に第1楽章の管楽器の「運命」を告げるファンファーレ、終盤の第4楽章におけるオーケストラが混然一体となって超絶技巧を繰りひろげる様は、大変な陶酔感をともなうものでした。
ホールは熱狂的にフェドセーエフを迎え、この大ベテラン指揮者に敬意を表しました。ロシアの大地の魅力を運んできてくれた彼と、N響に感謝したいと思います。

A 2nd number of Borodin's symphony was B minor, and I heard this just for the first time, but the one attractive in particular was the masterpiece very full of romance. That Borodin took pains and completed, I was surprised at bold development by an excellent song idea. I hoped that a chance of a performance increased taking this as an opportunity and I didn't know whether it was slightly appropriate as a metaphor, but it was wonderful by dynamic and luxurious music which equals the last music of "Spirited Away". Played development continued introducing from a harp of a fact 3rd movement to the 4th movement, and was overwhelming, and they seemed to hold the breath. It was attracted by elegant as if it flows through an intense waterfall. Anyway it was a 2nd number of Borodin's symphony like this fine example.
It was a 4th number of Tchaikovsky's symphony that the overwhelming performance power of NHK Symphony Orchestra is shown as expected, and I also heard this just for the first time, but the strings (You made them hear the transcendent art with the wonderful battle formation below Fuminori Shinozaki.) were excellent and a wind instrument often also responded to the expectation. Gorgeous also is splendid music and is the one like one climax of Russian music very much here, and it's being hoped also to permeate as the song among which I become popular more in Japan. The orchestra in the 4th movement of a fanfare and the final stage who tells "destiny" of a wind instrument of the 1st movement in particular was one by which the state by which unfolds transcendent art in a body involves a serious fascination sense.
Hall met Fedoseev and paid his respects to this great expert conductor enthusiastically. I'd like to thank NHK Symphony Orchestra with him who was carrying charm in the Russian earth.
