The following is from Masayuki Takayama's latest book, "Henkenjizai: Who Buried Shinzo Abe?"
This book is the latest in a series of bound editions of his famous columns in Shukan Shincho, but the original text has been polished to make it even easier to read.
He deserves the Nobel Prize for Literature for this one book alone.
This book is a must-read not only for the Japanese people but for people worldwide.

Chinese women who saw through the lies of the Nanjing Massacre (p. 105)
The grand fiction of the Nanjing Massacre is said to have been conceived by the Chinese.
That is not true.
The Chinese may be good at imitating things, but they need help to develop such ideas.
No, no, no, Chiang Kai-shek had Harold Timpali, a correspondent for a British newspaper, write about the Nanking Massacre.
That is not true either.
He spent a long time working for the U.S. opinion magazine Asia.
The magazine was owned by Pearl Buck's husband, Richard Walsh, under the U.S. Committee for Public Information (CPI) umbrella, which directs anti-Japanese propaganda.
The CPI consisted of the Secretary of State, the Secretaries of the Army and Navy, and representatives of the newspaper industry, and it used U.S. newspaper correspondents and missionaries dispatched to China to carry out anti-Japanese propaganda.
William Donald of the New York Herald, who flew there with Soong Mei-ling at the time of the Xi'an Incident, was one of the people who threatened Zhang Xue-Liang and forced him to release Chiang Kai-shek.
Although only circumstantial evidence exists, Donald said at the time, "The U.S. chose Chiang Kai-shek and gave Manchuria and Mongolia to China. Beat Japan as promised," he told U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR).
Chiang Kai-shek then caused the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, massacred 250 Japanese in Tongzhou, and finally had a 60,000-strong elite Chinese force attack the Japanese concession in Shanghai.
As FDR had hoped, Japan was drawn into the quagmire war with China, extending its front lines to Nanking and Wu-Geography.
FDR had the CPI run a "bad Japan invading good China" propaganda campaign.
The fall of Nanking was also used as material.
Correspondents of U.S. newspapers all reported, "Those who were killed and women raped."
The missionary, Minor Bates, a servant of God, falsely claimed at the Tokyo Trials that "Many Chinese people were killed."
He wouldn't have died a good death.
However, even the Chinese were not interested in the U.S.-made story of the Nanking Massacre, as they thought it was too false.
Then, the U.S. dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
After killing 200,000 innocent civilians, they had to bring up the Nanking Massacre again as a countervailing measure.
First, the Asahi Shimbun reported, as told by GHQ, that "20,000 people were killed in four weeks in the city of Nanking, and pieces of mutilated flesh were scattered about" (December 8, 1945).
The company's cameraman, who was on the scene at the time, was taking pictures of smiling civilians and children alongside Japanese soldiers.
But 20,000 is too little to offset the atomic bombing.
So, in the Tokyo Tribunal decision, the number was raised to 200,000, an order of magnitude higher.
It would offset the non-combatant kills from the two A-bombs.
A sane scholar would have tilted his head at the one-digit increase, but many did not.
Hitotsubashi University's Akira Fujiwara and Tsuru University's Tokushi Kasahara actively supported 200,000 people.
Of course, Fujiwara commented on the smoke screen photo brought in by Asahi, saying, "That's right. It is poison gas from the Japanese military,'' in a style reminiscent of comedian Ken Shimura.
That exposed the lying professor.
Kasahara also borrowed an Asahi Graph photo of women going home protected by the Japanese army and wrote, "Women in Gangnam abducted by the Japanese army" and "raped and killed."
He, too, is willing to lie.
But Jiang Zemin, wanting ODA, increased the number to "300,000" and put the words "300,000" on the Nanjing Memorial and established it.
Incredibly, Song Geng-il, a female teacher at Shanghai Zhendan Vocational Institute, questioned this in a recent class.
She said, "There is no data to support 300,000 people, and we should not continue to hate Japan."
She taught that Nanjing and the numbers are fictitious.
When a student took a hidden picture of it and posted it online, she was immediately "dismissed" (People's Daily).
The furor continues.
Li Tian Tian, a female teacher in Hunan Province concerned about Song Geng Yi's situation, took to social networking sites to voice her support for her claim and demand that the student who told her should be punished.
Then government officials flew in, grabbed Li, and "with the approval of her family" (Ymiuri), threw her into a psychopathic ward.
Amazingly, there were respectable women in China.
In contrast, the Asahi, which has been propagating the Nanking Massacre, has never published any account of these women.
On the contrary, the paper reaffirmed its longstanding view of the masochistic view of history by publishing Akira Fujiwara's favorite younger friend, Yutaka Yoshida.
Isn't it a shame to call yourself a newspaper?
