The following is from tweets by kairagi and shoetsusato that I just discovered.

I wonder why this guy is a professor in Japan and is talking so much about Japan and Japanese people.
He has no respect or appreciation for Japan or Japanese people, even though he is allowed to live and work in Japan.
They take it for granted that they are equal to or better than the Japanese as if to say that we should make it easier for them to live in Japan.
What reason do they have to be grateful for such foreigners?

Prof. Usubi Sako of Kyoto Seika University: "According to population estimates, the number of foreigners is expected to increase.
However, Japan today is not a good place for foreigners to live.
In Japan, foreigners are regarded only as laborers. There is no awareness that they are people living in the same country. Immigration should be 'supportive' rather than 'controlling.'" https://nikkei.com/article/DGKKZO70636670Y3A420C2EA4000/

The Japanese people have made Japan what it is today through their blood-soaked efforts.
Isn't it "too selfish" to come to Japan and demand equal rights because Japan is a better place to live than your home country?

Professor Usubi of Seika University: "Japan is not a good place for foreigners to live. Japan should support foreigners, not control their entry.
