トラちゃんと一緒に

 

 

トラちゃんが7月14日亡くなって5ケ月以上たちます。お墓のまわりは冬景色に変わり寂しくなったのでシクラメンを植えました。会員のＳさんがそれにウインターコスモスと、白いお花を添えられちょっとにぎやかになりました。
スタッフのＡさんは毎日新しいお水を上げて供養していられます。
それに今日はトラちゃんのお友達ができました。Ｓさんがトラちゃんにそっくりの置物をお墓の横に飾ってくださいました。
まるでお墓を守っているみたいです。

More than five months has passed since Tora-chan went to heaven after an untimely tragic accident. Now winter has come, his grave is very lonely filled with withered leaves. Mrs. S and I planted some flowers. She planted winter cosmos while I planted red cyclamen. In addition to the flowers, Mrs. S placed a cat ornament, a look-alike Tora-chan. Now his grave site is filled with beautiful colors. Staff employees never forget to pour water in a bowl that Tora-chan used befor

山茶花

 

　山茶花は秋から冬にかけて咲くツバキ科の木です。あちこちの庭に今時分よく咲いているのを見かけます。クラブハウスの前にもピンクの山茶花があります。
今日の朝日新聞の俳壇に稲畑汀子選の句が目にとまりました。

山茶花の白き花びら散りて紅　　奥村　里

散った山茶花の白い花びらが紅を帯びていてとの発見　とありました。
私は　山茶花の白き花びら蕾紅　と庭の山茶花を見て思いました。

My Mondays’ pleasure includes reading a column of Haiku and Tanka.
Haiku and Tanka writers send their writings to Asahi Newspaper to be weeded by famous experts. The lucky and very good ones are chosen and published in the said newspaper. This is an important event to see your writings publicly published.
Today I found one of the Haikus which I can deeply relate with. The writing resonates with my beliefs. It touched me like no other Haikus can.
Also today, I found scattered white petals of Sazanka on the ground though some has reddish ends and it brought an unexpected awe and surprise to the day…

夜は冷えますね

 

 

 

17日朝放牧に行きましたがつなぎ場のホ―スから水がしたたり落ちたまま凍っていました。そして水たまりには薄氷が張っていました。日中は太陽が出て風のない日はとても暖かいのですが
でも夜はやはり零度以下に下がるようです。
朝8時頃まだ月が西の空の富士山の上に残っていました。

In the early morning at the club, I found the dripping water from the hose frozen. It looks like ICICLE. During daytime, it is rather warm here even in winter but probably at night time the temperature may be below zero degrees Celsius.
All horses wear their horsewears at night to protect them from chillness.
When I got there the moon still remains up in the sky over Mt.Fuji.

 

 

 

 

 

 

18日もシャル君は放牧です。朝行くともみじやバニー ヒリューなど馬たちが馬着を着たまま放牧されていました。
上の馬場の横の桜の木はすっかり葉が落ちて、来年の春に備えていま硬い蕾ができつつあります。でも一枚だけ赤い葉が頑張ってくっついています。
草もほとんど枯れてしまいましたが、僅かに残った青草を取ってきてシャル君に与えました。

Next day, we went to the club again to let Charle free in the ground. When we got there, other horses were in the ground. All of them were wearing horsewears because it is very cold. I could find little green grasses and gave Charle.
Most of the green grasses are now withered.

 

 

ゆきまるちゃん

 

シャル君のお向かいに新しいお馬が来ました。春までお預かりの道産子ユキマルちゃんです。温和で人なっこい性格のようです。でも寂しいのか、いなないてばかりいました。
シャル君も自分の馬房の出入りに神経を使っています。ユキマルちゃんが何もしないとわかるまでは油断大敵といった感じです。

The stall in front of Charle has been empty for sometime, but now new comer
has come. He stays here temporarily.
Charle is very cautious of this newcomer until he notices this newcomer does no harm.
This horse’s specie is a Dosanko. He was born in Hokkaido.
Usually they are short and stout.This new comer named Yukimaru is very much
similar to Moomin’s face.
He neighs all the time, He must be lonely.

火曜日はクラブはお休みでしたが、日　月と行かなかったので放牧させるためシャル君のところへ行きました。上の馬場で放牧していると、ヒ―君が新馬場に放牧に連れてこられました。
お互いに全く無関心です。馬によってはお互いに関心を示したりするのですが、二頭の気持ちがわかりません。
活発というほどではありませんでしたが、一時間ほど動き回ったり、たたづんだり、首を伸ばして草をたべたりしていました。少し暖かいせいかハエが寄ってきてシャル君はうるさそうにしていました。冬でもハエは生きていてどこからか飛んでくるので驚きです。
シャル君をおんぶするまねをしてみるとじっとして動きませんでした。
